Children often process grief in ways that differ from teenagers and adults. They may lack the vocabulary or emotional maturity to articulate their feelings. Some might seem fine initially, but later show signs of regression, such as thumb-sucking or bed-wetting. Additionally, physical symptoms like changes in appetite, sleep issues, headaches, and stomachaches are common manifestations of grief in children.
Tender Steps is a specialized program designed for children aged 5-10 to help them cope with grief. This initiative is brought to you by Providence Community Health Napa Valley in collaboration with Cope Family Center. Here are the upcoming classes:
📅 Thursday, February 19
✨ BEADED MEMORY BRACELET
📅 Thursday, March 19
✨ GRIEF WHEELS & EMOTIONS
