🎄 12 Days of OT – Day 12
✨ Day 12 of ! ✨
Today’s activity: Festive Fine-Motor Feast!

🍪 Activity: Have your child decorate holiday cookies, cupcakes, or gingerbread shapes. Squeezing icing, sprinkling toppings, and using small tools strengthens fingers, improves hand–eye coordination, and refines precision.

💡 Tip for parents: Encourage your child to practice small details, like dots or lines, to challenge dexterity. Make it fun and celebrate their creativity!

12 Days of OT – Day 11
✨ Day 11 of ! ✨
Today’s activity: Holiday Obstacle Course!

🏃 Activity: Create a mini indoor obstacle course using pillows, chairs, and tape lines. Have your child crawl under, climb over, step around, or hop through obstacles. This helps with gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and motor planning.

💡 Tip for parents: Add a festive twist by calling it “Santa’s Workshop Challenge” or having them carry a small “present” through the course for extra fun!

🎄 12 Days of OT – Day 10
✨ Day 10 of ! ✨
Today’s activity: Holiday Scooping Fun!

🥄 Activity: Fill a container with rice, beans, or pom-poms and give your child spoons, cups, or tongs to scoop and transfer into bowls, cups, or holiday-themed containers. This strengthens hand muscles, improves coordination, and works on bilateral hand use.

💡 Tip for parents: Try using different tools or switching hands to challenge dexterity. Add small surprises (like mini ornaments or bells) to make it extra festive!

🎄 12 Days of OT – Day 9
✨ Day 9 of ! ✨
Today’s activity: Holiday Movement Freeze!

🎶 Activity: Play holiday music and have your child dance, march, or move around. When the music stops, they must freeze in place like a statue. This activity works on body awareness, motor planning, and self-regulation.

💡 Tip for parents: Encourage different poses—like reaching high for a “star” or squatting low for a “present”—to challenge balance and coordination. Make it silly and fun to keep kids engaged!

🎄 12 Days of OT – Day 8
✨ Day 8 of ! ✨
Today’s activity: Holiday Threading!

🧵 Activity: Use beads, buttons, or large pasta to make necklaces, garlands, or holiday decorations. Threading helps strengthen fingers, improve hand–eye coordination, and refine pincer grasp.

💡 Tip for parents: Start with larger items for beginners and gradually move to smaller beads to challenge dexterity. Encourage your child to pick out patterns or colors to add a visual planning component.

🎄 12 Days of OT – Day 7
✨ Day 7 of ! ✨
Today’s activity: Holiday Hopscotch!

🟩 Activity: Use tape to create a hopscotch grid on the floor, or draw one with chalk if outside. Add holiday shapes or numbers for kids to jump, hop, and balance through. This strengthens gross motor skills, coordination, and spatial awareness.

💡 Tip for parents: Encourage kids to land softly on bent knees and try hopping on one foot to challenge balance further. You can also turn it into a “present delivery” game for extra fun!
