Christmas Bazaar Workshop... Our crafters are so busy making items to sell! 🎄🖌️✂️

We created 4 different types of ornaments:
✨ sparkly wreaths
🌀 painted swirly bulbs
💫 glittery pinecones
🌲 fancy trees

To honor Veteran's Day this year, the Naperville American Legion Post #42 and Judd Kendall VFW Post #3873 presented a Color Guard. This was followed by a lunch with resident and local veterans. Staff met with and thanked all for their service and even service dog Lola was a greeter. It was a great afternoon of honoring those who served. 🇺🇸

Today is World Kindness Day - a great reminder that being kind is great for your mind! Kindness can have such a positive impact on your brain health, even having the ability to make you happier, live longer, more energized, less depressed, less stressed, less anxious, and so much more. Seasonal depression is very real for seniors. Here’s why 👇🏻
🌨️ The colder weather can mean fewer visitors and less opportunity for getting out of the house. This can lead to feelings of “cabin fever” and isolation.
🌙 The shorter, darker days affect seniors just as significantly as the rest of us. We all need a little sunshine in our lives to feel our best.
🎄 The holiday season can be bittersweet for seniors who are missing loved ones or who are unable to celebrate as they would like to.
Help yourself or your senior loved one prepare for the fall and winter season by stocking cupboards/bringing their favorite snacks, investing in games and activities, and planning regular visits.
