Why do some babies need a helmet?
When a baby consistently turns their head to one side, we often look for torticollis — a condition where the neck muscles are tight or imbalanced.
Over time, this constant pressure on one part of the head can lead to flat spots (plagiocephaly). That’s when some babies are recommended to wear a helmet — not to treat the neck itself, but to help gently reshape the head as it grows.
Here’s where early care matters. 🤍
We focus on:
✨ Checking how your baby’s neck and body are moving
✨ Supporting muscle balance and gentle range of motion
✨ Helping the nervous system communicate more clearly with those muscles
The goal isn’t just head shape — it’s helping your baby move, turn, and explore comfortably in both directions.
Not every baby with torticollis will need a helmet, especially when movement patterns are supported early. And for babies who do wear one, we still focus on helping their body move more freely underneath it.
