Our residents just snagged another passport stamp on their adventure to Bali, Indonesia! We all soaked up the mesmerizing cultural performance and were swept away by the ancient rhythms that told stories through music and dance. A heartfelt thank you to Tanfie in Life Enrichment and our remarkable sponsor, Claudia Nurwulan from Inswan Heath Care, for making this unforgettable event possible!

Jackie works in our environmental service department specifically in laundry. Her compassion, ability to listen, assist with putting the resident's clothing away, making the resident's bed, tidying up the room and watering plants regularly has not gone unnoticed. She approaches the Residents with the respect, kindness and patience always. Residents share that Jackie never seems rushed and takes the time to actively listen to them. Above all the things Jackie does for the residents that are not in her official job description, she is always up to date with the tasks assigned to her and will pick up shifts if needed in the department. She always has time to give individual attention to the residents and knows many of the resident's personal preferences.
We are happy to recognize Jackie who embodies the four Core Value of our Mission.

On All Saints’ Day, we celebrate the countless blessings found in our communities — the quiet acts of kindness, the gentle words of comfort, and the steadfast love that fills our homes.

Across The Carmelite System’s skilled nursing and care communities, we honor the saints among us — residents, staff, and families — who embody God’s love each and every day.

Our residents had a fang-tastic time at our spook-tacular Boo Bash, packed with monster munchies, brain-teasing trivia, and, of course, no party is complete without candy! Life Enrichment extends our heartfelt gratitude to our remarkable families, dedicated volunteers, and committed staff; your support is invaluable. A big shoutout to the Young Men's Service League for their fabulous donation of goody bags!

What an incredible month it has been! This October was packed with festive fun and important community service, and it was all thanks to our incredible volunteers! Your enthusiasm and commitment are the secret ingredients that make St. Patrick’s Residence the absolute best!

Here’s a look back at the fantastic volunteer-led activities that brightened our month. Autumn Garden Tidy-Up with The Rotary Club of Naperville. We got artsy with pumpkin painting alongside the Naperville Jaycees and Oktoberfest with Michael, Marianne, and the St. Thomas Knights of Columbus. The Cress Creek Garden Club visited and crafted Autumn centerpieces with our residents.

We are so grateful for everyone who lent a hand, shared a talent, or donated their time. Want to join the action and volunteer for our upcoming November events? We’d love to have you! The Rotary Club of Naperville

Brenda is an RN assigned to 2E and has been with us for over 5 years. Families refer to her as “Nurse Brenda” and are greeted by her as they step off the elevator. She extends a warm “Hello! Let me tell you how your loved one is today!” Brenda treats all her residents and families like they are family to her. Families also say she treats the residents with compassion and shows her enthusiasm when they accomplish something that may be difficult to do. Brenda also takes the initiative to improve her unit and encourages her staff to do the same. She displays not only the Core Value of Hospitality but also Sanctity of Life, Shared Commitment and Compassion.

We are happy to present Brenda with the Recognize Your Colleague Award and thank her for all she does for the residents, their families and the staff.

The Carmelite System believes faith in all its forms shines as a beacon of hope. As Yom Kippur begins, we join our Jewish friends and neighbors in a day of reflection, prayer, and renewal. May this sacred time bring peace, forgiveness, and blessings to you and your loved ones.

From Mother Angeline’s vision in 1929 to the community founded in 1931, the Carmelite ministry has flourished—shaping loving, person-centered care across the nation and beyond. “Be kinder than kindness itself to the old people” remains our everyday standard. Now, we’re taking a moment to look at Foundation Day, which we celebrated earlier this month. You can learn more here: https://ow.ly/JQBG50X17pT
