For us, the most special part about attending community events isn't the branded moments or hand-outs, it's meeting parents and families whom we see ourselves in. Hearing their stories. Relating to their very human experiences. Understanding that we are all experiencing this life in our own unique way - each coming from unique backgrounds. Admiring the strength and resilience that so many of these families hold as they navigate life with an autistic child or family member.

We feel the impact of IABA's story everyday with the clients and families we get to serve, but these moments in real life bring us to the present and never fail to remind us, "This is why we do what we do."

What's a moment in your community that has stuck with you recently?

"Why do families tend to choose IABA over other ABA providers?"

When asked, here is what our Chief Clinical Director and BCBA Katlyn McGinnis had to say... 💚

(To our current IABA families - in your own words, why did you choose us for your child's care? 💬)

✨Celebrating Neurodiversity Week✨

This week, we're taking a moment to celebrate the many different ways people think, learn, and experience the world around them.

Neurodiversity is a reminder that variations in how we process, communicate, and engage aren't obstacles — they're a natural and vital part of what makes us human!

Across our clinics, we're dedicated to walking alongside each individual as they build confidence, develop skills, and create a life full of meaning and independence — all while embracing what makes them uniquely themselves.

This week and always, we celebrate neurodiversity — and the remarkable individuals and families who inspire us every day!

✨ New Founder's Blog is LIVE! ✨

"To be alive is to have dreams, hopes, and needs." 💚

In her latest blog, IABA Founder Jessie Cooper reflects on releasing expectations, balancing who we are with what others want from us, and always remembering that we are all human, having a human experience. 🌿

Leading IABA’s mission on the south side of Chicago…

🎙️✨Meet Oak Lawn Clinical Director Katie Ryan!

Katie began in 2015 as a line therapist (behavior technician) at IABA, gaining experience working directly with clients. Learning how to build rapport with clients and their families and teach skills using the principles of ABA, under the supervision of skilled and ethical BCBAs, prepared her to become a competent BCBA.

Becoming a BCBA in 2016 brought new responsibilities, such as learning how to manage a caseload as well as train and supervise RBTs. From there, Katie held various positions at IABA before ultimately finding her current role as Clinical Director, where she had the opportunity to open and manage the Oak Lawn clinic!

Katie values and loves the people she works with at IABA: the clients, the families, and the staff! Her absolute favorite thing about IABA is seeing clients make progress, gain new skills, and build meaningful relationships. The progress they see and the fabulous team she has are why she comes to work every day and why she has stayed with IABA for over 10 years!

To kick off March, we reflected with some Board-Certified Behavior Analysts on what they feel lucky about when it comes to their work with IABA kiddos and families. ☘️

Here's what they had to say 🥹🫂👉

Parents, families, advocacy groups: what are you feeling lucky about right now?
