GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, Wegovy and Zepbound are everywhere right now and many women are wondering how they affect fertility and pregnancy.

Today we’re celebrating National Women Physicians Day and the incredible women physicians on our team: Dr. Fabiola Balmir, Dr. Kirsten Sasaki, Dr. Molly McKenna and Dr. Kelly Ryan.

Since last year, we’ve doubled the number of female physicians in our practice and we couldn’t be prouder!

Dr. Balmir is a dedicated reproductive endocrinologist helping patients build their families with her skill, expertise and compassion. Drs. Sasaki, McKenna and Ryan are highly trained gynecologic surgeons dedicated to improving women’s health through expert surgical care.

National Women Physicians Day is recognized on February 3rd honor of the birthday of Elizabeth Blackwell, the first female physician in the U.S.

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Cervical cancer is highly preventable with HPV vaccination and routine Pap smear screenings. Although it’s most commonly diagnosed between ages 35-44, risk doesn’t disappear with age, especially without regular screening.
