🏃‍♂️ Want easy tips to help you reduce and/or prevent running injuries? Check these out! 👇

1. Static stretching is beneficial for tendon resiliency and muscle strength, but remember to do a dynamic warmup before you run.
2. Many running injuries can be mitigated by increasing the steps you take per minute and decreasing your stride. Try to make sure your foot is not in front of your hips when it lands.
3. Widen your stance! This activates hip stabilizers and puts less strain on your knees.
4. When you aren’t running or out and about, be barefoot as much as possible! This improves your foot strength and balance among other things.

Make these easy changes to your routine and reap the rewards! 🌟

Depending on the case, AS&W uses IASTM for conditions of the muscle, tendon, and fascia! This is best used post injury to prevent fascial restriction of the joint and alleviate muscle tension. If you have been a patient of ours, we often refer to this treatment as "The Tool."
