Happy Thanksgiving Week from Advanced Behavioral Health Services🦃

As the holidays unfold, we encourage you to prioritize your well-being, practice healthy coping strategies, and stay mindful of what supports your emotional balance this season. The holidays can be joyful, busy, and overwhelming all at once—so let this be your gentle reminder to pause, check in with yourself, and care for your needs with compassion.

At the same time, we want to take a moment to honor our incredible team: every ABHS provider and staff member who pours into our mission daily. Your support, heart, and dedication shape the community we’re proud to call ABHS. We are grateful for you today, this week, and always. 🧡💙

Recently, ABHS had the honor of attending the KidsMatter Empower Gala, a beautiful evening dedicated to strengthening youth, families, and our community.

We were grateful to share the night with our friend and colleague Dr. Adrian Zhubi and his wife, as well as Jane Wernette of NC17 TV and her husband, and even more grateful for the inspiring conversations throughout the event.
A special thank-you to Nina Menis, CEO of KidsMatter, for taking the time to connect with us and for the incredible work she leads in support of youth mental health and empowerment throughout the community. We also want to recognize Ryan Lauterwasser, President of the KidsMatter Board of Trustees, for his leadership and dedication to the organization.

One of the highlights of the evening was meeting Mariel Hemingway, granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway and the night’s special guest speaker. She spoke candidly about her family’s journey with mental health and her lifelong commitment to mental health advocacy. Her message was powerful, heartfelt, and a reminder of the importance of continuing this work in our communities.

We left feeling inspired, connected, and motivated to continue supporting organizations like KidsMatter that are truly making a difference. 💙🧡

A wonderful morning celebrating leadership and community service. Led by NBC 5 Chicago’s Stefan Holt, today’s event honored Liz Spencer, Executive Director of NCTV, as she prepares for her well-deserved retirement. Advanced Behavioral Health was proud to join in recognizing Liz’s incredible contributions to local media and the positive impact she’s made in our community. Wishing her all the best in this next chapter.

At Advanced Behavioral Health, our community’s well-being is always our top priority. This past week, we were proud to donate over three boxes of food to Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry in Naperville.

We’re committed not only to providing exceptional mental health care, but also to supporting the overall wellness of those we serve.

A heartfelt thank-you to Loaves & Fishes for partnering with us this year to help make a difference in our community.
