As the body's largest organ, the skin reflects what's happening inside your body.
Stress is a part of life. Whether your stressors are small or large, they can impact both your mental and physical well-being. While we can’t completely remove stress from our lives there is so many mind body practices, also known as stress management techniques, which focus on your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs to help control stress and combat the negative effects it has on your body.

Our brain and skin are intimately linked, and they communicate with each other. This means that when we experience chronic stress from work, relationships or current events, the skin is both a target and a source of stress hormones, which can make the skin more vulnerable to inflammation, irritation, infection and aging.

MY PRACTICES TO HELP MANAGE STRESS INCLUDE:

Hello beautiful souls!

I see a lot of new followers on my page, so I thought it would be great to reintroduce myself.

My name is Paulina, and first and foremost, I am a mom, wife, and a practicing esthetician for 14 years!
About 9 years ago, my approach as an esthetician has gone thru a big transition. From conventional, abrasive treatments into nourishing and healing rituals. Where I combine both ancient remedies and principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, with modern non-invasive modalities.

When I look at the state of the skin, I consider the WHOLE ORGANISM. Because all bodily systems work together. By carefully mapping the skin using my knowledge of Dien Chan Zone Reflexology, connective tissue work, lymphatic drainage, and energy work, I focus on bringing the skin, body, and mind into harmony.
The skin is a direct reflection of the internal state of the body as well as the state of our emotional and mental health.

My passion is holistic living, energy healing, helping other humans feel better, and traveling.

I want to thank all my clients who have been with me for many years for your loyalty, trust, and supporting me during change and shift.

I get asked almost everyday about collagen!
When choosing the right collagen look for clinically tested, non-gmo, grass-fed and third party tested products to avoid glyphosates and other heavy metals. I like mine in powder form to mix it up with fruits, adoptogens, antioxidants into a delicious, nutritious cocktail on the go!
I've been trying bovine collagen and have to say I really like it. It's delicious, doesn't clump up and it's tested for harmful ingredients! Remember consistency is the KEY!

WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR LIVER

1. Balanced and nourishing diet:
Avoid deep-fried foods, refined diary, grain-fed meat, oils that contain polyunsaturated acids (canola oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, corn oil, peanut oil, and vegetable oil). Limit refined sugars and high fructose corn syrup.
Opt in for leafy green vegetables, beets and beet greens, berries, cruciferous vegetables, fermented foods.

2. Limit alcohol.

3. Start your morning with warm lemon water. This practice helps to clear the digestive tract of toxins that have built up overnight. Also, lemon water has antioxidants that help to stimulate the liver.

4. Green tea is plentiful in antioxidants known as catechins, which promote liver function.

5. Fish and krill oils contain omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce fat and inflammation in the liver of those with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Thus, Omega-3 supplementation may improve liver function and reduce inflammation.

6. Exercise reduces stress on the liver since skin is another detoxification pathway. With increased sweating, more toxins can be eliminated through the skin, reducing the burden put on the liver.

7. Reduce stress and release stagnant emotions thru yoga, meditation, breath work.

8. Castor oil packs for detoxification. I highly recommend
