Struggling with hip or lower back pain? The root cause might be closer than you think… your feet.

Your feet are your foundation. When they’re weak or misaligned, it can create a chain reaction - forcing your hips and lower back to compensate, leading to discomfort and strain.

Here’s how strengthening your feet can help support your entire body:

✔️ Improve alignment and reduce stress on hips and spine
✔️ Prevent overcompensation in the lower back
✔️ Enhance shock absorption to protect your joints
✔️ Increase mobility throughout the lower body

Curious how to start strengthening and supporting your feet? Reach out! I'm happy to help give you some tips.

Stories like Mariann’s are the reason this work means so much.

Being trusted to support someone through pain, uncertainty, and limited mobility… and then getting to witness the progress, the relief, and the return of movement - it’s something I never take for granted.

Hearing words like these are incredibly humbling - and a reminder of how powerful it is to truly listen to the body and meet each person where they are.

I'm so grateful for the people who trust me with their care and their journey 🤍

If you’ve been dealing with pain or mobility challenges, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

Recover smarter, not harder.

Healing after surgery takes time - and the right support can make a meaningful difference.

At RecoverWell Therapeutic Massage & Wellbeing, post-surgical care is designed to support your body as it heals safely and effectively.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a gentle, rhythmic technique that helps encourage the movement of excess fluid, reduce feelings of swelling, and support your body’s natural recovery process.

Scar massage, when appropriate, can help improve tissue mobility, reduce tightness, and support more comfortable, natural healing. It also helps prevent adhesions that may limit movement or cause discomfort.

A few simple ways to support your recovery:
✔️ Stay hydrated and prioritize protein
✔️ Wear compression if recommended
✔️ Avoid overexertion—rest is part of healing
✔️ Follow your provider’s post-op instructions
✔️ Stay consistent - healing takes time

Every body heals differently, which is why care is always tailored to your unique needs, while working alongside your medical provider’s guidance.

✨ Always check with your surgeon or healthcare provider before beginning post-surgical bodywork.

When you have been in pain, nothing feels better than the relief you feel after having the tension released! The other day, I opened my door to discover my client in a very relaxed state! With permission I captured th moment.

One of the biggest predictors of independence as we age isn’t strength… it’s mobility.

Being able to reach, bend, turn, and move comfortably affects everything from daily activities to staying active in the things we enjoy.

But mobility doesn’t suddenly become important later in life - it’s something we build and maintain over time.

When the body develops patterns of tightness or restriction, movement can start to feel harder than it should. Supportive bodywork like assisted stretching and massage therapy can help encourage healthy range of motion, support joint mobility, and help your body move with greater ease.

Mobility isn’t about being “flexible enough.”
It’s about maintaining the freedom to move through life independently.

Have you ever heard of the “Power of Eight”?

It’s a concept developed by author and researcher Lynne McTaggart that explores the idea of group intention - when a small group of people focuses their thoughts and positive intention together for healing or support.

Research and experiments have shown that when people come together with a shared intention, something powerful can happen. Not only can the person receiving the intention benefit, but the people sending it often experience positive shifts as well. ✨

I’ve had the opportunity to study with Lynne and participate in these groups, and I found the experience incredibly meaningful.

I’m curious… would anyone be interested in participating in a local Power of Eight group if I started one?

It’s a simple practice of coming together, focusing intention, and supporting one another.

If this is something that resonates with you, feel free to send me a message or comment ‘Interested’ to learn more.

Shoulder pain is extremely common, and it often begins in the muscles around the shoulder blade before spreading into the joint and down the arm.

Some common symptoms include:
• Pain in the shoulder or upper back
• Muscle weakness around the shoulder blade
• Difficulty reaching overhead

Shoulder pain can be caused by several things, including:
• Muscle strain or spasm
• Poor posture from long hours sitting or driving
• Repetitive movements or overuse injuries
• Pinched nerves in the neck or upper back
• Rotator cuff irritation or impingement
• Arthritis or joint instability

Because the shoulder is such a mobile joint, it’s also one of the easiest to irritate.

Massage therapy can help reduce tension, improve range of motion, and support recovery so you can begin strengthening the area again.

⚠️ If shoulder pain occurs along with nausea, shortness of breath, cold sweats, or pain radiating into the left arm, neck, or back, call 911 immediately.
