The video has original audio☺️

Do you know the planning it takes to get your son who is on the Autism Spectrum to sit through a 4 hour movie?
We didn’t have reclining seats and sat 4 rows in front the screen!

Yes I could have waited to watch this movie in the comfort of our home:) but didn’t want to😊

We had him do a 30 minutes treadmill walk, after which I gave him a massage and oiled his head, followed it with hot towel treatment. Then had him sit with paint by numbers to help him focus. We then had a heavy hot meal 15 minutes before show time.

We enveloped him with a heavy blanket, support his neck with a pillow and offered him his headphones to help him stay calm…

We slept for 2 and half hours!!!!

I wanted to share this with everyone because sometimes when you see your friends and colleagues and they may seem calm and collected- you may not see the work it takes them to get there.

I celebrate you 💕

The experience was enhanced with breath work, guided meditation, and sound healing allowing our students to reset.

Every day I am surrounded by incredible women.💕

Women who carry more than the world often sees.
Women who hold families together, care for others, build careers, support friends, and still find the strength to keep moving forward.

I don’t just see the women who walk through the doors of our studio.
If they allow it, I take the time to know them — their stories, their strength, their struggles, their resilience.

And I am constantly reminded how powerful women truly are.

When women support women, something beautiful happens.
We lift each other.
We create space for one another to grow.
We remind each other that we are not alone.

Today I celebrate the women in my life.
The ones who support, encourage, and show up with open hearts.

Celebrate the women in your life today.
And take a moment to celebrate yourself too.

This is us — strong, caring, and showing up for one another.

Happy Women’s Day. ✨

Hosting with - the intention of this event is to honor the Divine Feminine by creating a space to Heal through Dance & Yoga.

The vision is to build a free movement space in which dance expands, spirit activates and beauty flows. As a community we are connected the whole time.

What to expect:
🌹Rose Cleansing Opening Circle with Gong Wash🌹
We will begin the retreat with a cleansing ritual for each participant, utilizing rose water infused with select essential oils. Vibration cleansing with tuning forks & an ancient Native American technique that involves hawk feathers and Palo Santo to release any energy that no longer serves you. Participants will then experience a Gong Wash, fostering a deeper connection with the mind, body, and spirit.

Then the participants will engage in foundational yogic stretches designed to enhance physical movement, promoting beauty and grace, while focusing on breath work and mindfulness of the mind body connection. This will be followed by slow somatic dancing that encourages an organic flow of movement and freedom of the mind The flow will lead us upbeat-high energy dancing & end with slow rhythmic dancing towards the end for the final Savasana.

Start the year right! Invite rest not just as a break from life but rest where life finds you!💕

Winter was never meant to be rushed. It’s a time for softer days, longer nights, and deep repair. When we allow ourselves to slow down, the body remembers how to restore. You’re invited to a nurturing experience of slow mid winter yoga flow, guided breathwork and healing sound- created to calm the mind, soothe the nervous system, support seasonal renewal and reconnect with a more natural pace.

2025 thank you 🙏🏾 2026 🤗 welcome!🥳

I used to think anger made me strong.
I used to think it protected me. It made me feel I was always right.

But anger was the smoke — not the fire.
The fire was fear, loneliness, hurt, unmet needs.
The fire was the part of me that didn’t know how to speak yet.

I’m learning now that I can feel anger without becoming it. I can pause. Take a step back.

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is lie down in the middle of the noise and choose stillness over reaction.

🕊️

In 2014, something shifted.
Sparsh was five years old. I reached out to give him his snack and he pulled his arm back — a tiny gesture, but full of hesitation.

I asked, “Are you afraid of me?”
He looked at me and whispered, “Yes… a little.”

That moment split me open.
I felt the weight of my own anger.
Not as power.
As impact.

I didn’t tell him, “Don’t be scared.”
I didn’t ask him to change.

I said, “I’ll earn your trust. I’ll work on this. It won’t be quick, but I will work on it.”

Twelve years later, I’m still working on it.
The unfolding and understanding takes time.
Becoming someone safe for someone else takes time.

Anger doesn’t disappear because we want it to.
Last 5 years has been a lot of learning and unlearning. And it’s work in progress 😊

If you’re learning how to feel without fighting yourself, I’m right here with you.

The Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, when the deep darkness invites us inward. Just as the natural world becomes quiet, we are called to pause and reflect. It is a time of release and resetting energy. Darkness at the solstice is not seen as something to fight but something to welcome. Is a doorway to introspection, shadow work, letting go of old patterns, meeting ourselves with honesty and compassion. Join us for a slow, graceful and grounding yoga flow to help release tension held in the body through embodiment of asanas, simple repetitions of movement to rewire the nervous system, guided meditation to deepen the body awareness, incorporating different pranayama work, soaking the body and mind in the healing power of live instruments.
All levels welcome.

🌿 A student slipped in the woods. Her legs slid into a near split… what could have been a serious injury was softened. Why? Her body remembered years of practice.

Yoga is not just about flexibility or calm. It’s about preparing for the moments when stress — physical or emotional — shows up.

✨ As one of our 10-year-old yogis said: “Flexibility is also strength — in the body and in the mind.”

🙏 This is why we practice.

💭 Are you saying “sorry” too much?
It might be doing more harm than you realize; not just to your confidence, but to your health.

Chronic apologizing can:
⚡ Keep your body stuck in stress mode
⚡ Raise cortisol + increase inflammation
⚡ Slow your healing + weaken immunity

You don’t have to apologize for:
🫶 Needing help
🚫 Saying “no”
🧘‍♀️ Taking up space
💗 Not being okay

Your words shape how you feel about yourself and how your body responds. Swap unnecessary apologies for gratitude, clarity, and boundaries that honor your well-being.

Which “sorry” will you replace today? Share below 👇

🧠 Longevity | 🩺 Health | 🌿 Mindfulness
Shout out to .fitmom

It’s not just about the weight on the scale.

When we think of health, especially for our kids on the spectrum, we often focus on behavior, routine, therapy, and nourishment but overlook metabolic and cellular health.

This summer, I came face to face with what might’ve been a slow slide into future health risks.

📉 In June, during a visit to my sister-in-law’s home, she had us step on her smart scale. Atharv, our 14-year-old who lives with autism and anxiety disorder, had been exercising and eating mostly at home. We motivated him with his favorite meals 😊 mostly rice and protein.

But the numbers told a different story.

⚠️ High visceral fat.
⚠️ Elevated body fat % and low skeletal muscle.
⚠️ A metabolic age of 48.
⚠️ Poor hydration.

He is 14. It was a wake-up call.

So, I made a quiet promise to myself that this summer, we will shift.
Mindfully. Gently. Consistently.

We didn’t count calories. We moved more. We breathed deeper. We explored new grains. We talked about food. We stretched together. We rested better.

📊 August results?
✅ Visceral fat back in range.
✅ Muscle mass way up.
✅ Protein and hydration improved.
✅ Metabolic age now: 14.
✅ His energy? His mood? Noticeably steadier.

I’m sharing this because this journey was never about changing his body. It was about supporting his life and ours together.

For caregivers of kids with special needs: I know the energy it takes to get through the day. I know the temptation to soothe with food. You’re doing your best. So was I.

But this reminded me: we can love through awareness, too.
Health is not the absence of symptoms. It’s the presence of vitality.

🙏 Thank you to my sister-in-law who nudged us toward this new path.
📸 Swipe to see the data shift—it speaks for itself.

As a yoga teacher, people often assume I have it all together. That I must always be calm, balanced, and grounded. But the truth is; it’s work. Conscious, daily work.

In my latest blog, I share a personal story about navigating emotional overwhelm, understanding my own “body budget,” and how I bring that awareness into my teaching at BreathePower.

We don’t just do poses in class; we build the tools to manage energy, emotions, and the nervous system with care.
