✨ Welcoming TeamHealth Advanced Practice Providers! ✨

This week, we had the privilege of hosting TeamHealth’s Advanced Practice Providers who traveled from multiple different states to train in our recently accredited Simulation Center! These incredible clinicians traveled from far to take part in high-performance, hands-on training designed to sharpen critical skills, enhance teamwork, and elevate patient care.

From advanced clinical scenarios to high-level simulation task training skills, their dedication to growth and excellence was evident every step of the way. We’re proud to support their commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality care.

And what better way to celebrate Advanced Practice Provider Week than by empowering the APPs and PA’s who make such a difference every day?

The Community School of Naples toured the Simulation Center and interacted with our micro premie baby Paul❤️ the tour was followed up with a demonstration of our Anatomage Table given by our expert simulation team!

This week, our Simulation Center had the privilege of training our hospital’s Public Safety Department through the Stop the Bleed course. We had expert instruction from Lt Matt Donovan (Greater Naples Fire Dept), Jose Martinez, NCH Pediatrics Director, Paul Farmer ans Karen Bertram (ED nurse educators). This is an essential program that empowers individuals to respond quickly and effectively in bleeding emergencies.

Our Public Safety team jumped right in, practicing hands-on techniques to control bleeding and save lives. 💪🩹

What a week!!! We celebrated our third year in our new simulation center celebrating Healthcare Simulation Week! We celebrated all of our educators and leaders who utilize simulation to enhance patient safety and improve outcomes for our staff at NCH and our community. We recognized 4 special people with healthcare simulation awards:

1) United in Similation, Simulation Educator of the year to Dr Christopher Kumetz

2) Simulation Mentor of The Year to Meredith Burt, RN

3) Standardized Patient Actor of the Year to James Duggan, The Naples Player

4) Rising Star Simulationist Awarded to Jessica Grimes, RN

The week of 9/11 we served the City of Naples Firefighters and paramedics in their credentialing! We provided high quality simulation education including pediatric drowning simulations and obstetric emergencies with our high fidelity birthing mannikin Victoria who was generously donated by the Julia van Domelon Foundation❤️

It’s Healthcare Simulation Week! We started this week honoring all of our simulationists with a catered luncheon followed by awards ceremony❤️ thank you to all the educators, leaders, and facilitators who strive to make patient safety a priority every day!!! We appreciate you❤️
