It's a mixed bag of emotions for this mama. The testing the docs ran confirmed my suspicions and there are many challenges moving forward. But first things first, let's talk praises!

1. Logan is going home today!

2. Pictured below is a screenshot of his communication device. On the onset of a seizure, Logan was able to communicate to his teachers for the first time ever what was going on! This is HUGE and I am so proud of him!!

As for the challenges and prayers needed, we will be back in a few months for surgical intervention. The road we are walking down is unpaved and scary when I try to look too far ahead. I'm praying to take each day as it comes and never stop counting the blessings. Everyday is a gift. Love you guys! Thanks for all prayers and support 😘😘

Logan and I are back at the hospital and I would love if you would send up some prayers. Logan sustained a substantial traumatic brain injury from his accident back in February and I am asking for Gods miraculous healing and wisdom for the medical professionals. Xoxo-mama

It’s been almost 9 months since Logan’s accident and I have found myself overwhelmed with gratitude all day celebrating his 13 years of life! Thank you all for loving and praying for our family! 🎂🎈🎁

We did it! School starts tomorrow and I’m sure you can imagine, there’s a few hundred emotions I am feeling about sending off Logan to school again. The most prevalent feeling I have is gratitude! My boy was looking like road killI 6 months ago and my little Superman is getting on the bus in the morning to try a full day of school. God is good!

With that said, I would like to ask a favor. Will you please watch this video from earlier today and leave a comment? I would really like to help other parents in similar situations.
Thankfully our journey is not over, but the grit that comes with our life is a relentless pursuit of awareness and understanding. Thank you!

It has been a few months since I’ve given you all an update. This summer has been a beast with all 4 boys home and some additional challenges.

I cannot thank you all enough for your prayers and support!!

I hope our story serves as a testimony about the power of prayer!

Logan will return to school in two weeks. Collier County Public Schools has gone the extra mile to accommodate his existing and new special needs.

Because of the accident, BOTH Logan and Gavin have been approved to receive help through the Home and Community Based Services waiver!

There is typically a 10 year waitlist for this service! Only 30,000 people in our state are on it and there are about 30,000 on the waitlist!

Before 1991, children like mine would be institutionalized for their disabilities so the govt created a waiver that brings institutional level support into the home and community.

It’s taken an enormous amount of work but my God, these supports will help them for the rest of their lives! Every special needs parent I have ever talked with has brought up their number 1 fear of “what will happen when I die? Who will be able to care for my child.” This waiver is a big piece of that relief!

There aren’t enough words to describe the multiple layers of challenges that have come our way since February.
We still need your prayers! Not just for Logan-The whole family has felt the impact and our lives will never be the same.

With that said, God has revealed himself in ways I have only read about! The more I let go and ask for guidance, the bigger he shows up! Keep us in your prayers!

Today is now called “Yay Day”!! Neurosurgeon said Logan’s brain injury does not need surgical intervention! Also!! Both Logan AND Gavin were made eligible for the med waiver through the Agency for Persons with disabilities!! There is usually a 10 YEAR waitlist! This is a huge blessing straight from Heaven!!! 🤙🏼💓🙏🏆

Thank you for all the sweet messages asking for Logi updates.

He is doing amazing considering the hell his mind and body went through!

He is been doing school everyday at home and is playful and goofy like always!

We are now receiving respite from 6-3 during the week which has allowed mommy to have a little break!

We go to the neurosurgeon tomorrow to discuss options related to his TBI-traumatic brain injury so focus your prayers there!

God is good.
He HEALS!
