TODAY WE HONOR OUR SWEET LYLA 🐾

Lyla began her journey visiting residents in skilled nursing facilities, where her gentle presence brought smiles, improved attention, and sparked moments of communication for individuals living with dementia. She had a special way of reaching people when words were hard.

She later transitioned seamlessly into pediatric therapy, where she became a beloved friend, motivator, and quiet encourager for so many of our kids. Whether offering comfort, celebrating small wins, or simply sitting beside a child who needed a buddy, Lyla made therapy feel safe and joyful.

Her impact on our patients, families, and team will always be part of Seaside Therapy.

Run free, sweet girl. Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us. We will miss you! 🥺💛🐾

Celebrating Every Ability! 🌈

Not all uniqueness is visible, and not every difference can be seen. Some people have developmental disabilities that shape how they learn, talk, move, or do everyday things. March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, a reminder that everyone is unique and deserves understanding.

This month, let’s celebrate and support everyone’s uniqueness. Show kindness, learn about different abilities, and help make the world more inclusive and welcoming for all.

Every child develops differently, some move through the world effortlessly while others may need a bit of extra support to strengthen coordination and overall movement skills.

Signs your child might benefit from physical therapy include:
➡️ Difficulty with stairs, running, or jumping
➡️ Poor posture or quick fatigue during active play
➡️ Avoiding playgrounds, bikes, or physical games
➡️ Trouble catching, throwing, or kicking a ball
➡️ Clumsiness or frequent tripping/falling
➡️ Difficulty with balance or coordination during activities
➡️ Trouble transitioning between positions (sitting to standing, standing to squatting)
➡️ Hesitation with new or challenging movements

These aren’t just “phases”, they could indicate that your child’s gross motor skills need extra attention.

At Seaside Therapy, our physical therapists use playful, movement-based activities to help kids:
✅ Build strength
✅ Improve balance and coordination
✅ Gain confidence in how they move
all while keeping it fun, not like “work”!
