Maintaining strength during cancer treatment starts with nourishing, easy-to-digest meals. This hearty Ginger Turkey & Wild Rice Soup offers lean protein, ginger to soothe nausea, and nutrient-rich ingredients to help fuel your body during treatment or recovery.

Directions:
➡️ Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add onions, garlic, carrots, celery, lemon zest, and grated ginger. Cook until softened (5-7 minutes).
➡️ Add salt, chicken broth, and rosemary. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes.
➡️ Add the cooked turkey and wild rice to warm through.

Serve and enjoy. 💚

👋 Get to know Sonal Sura, MD, MBA, a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist at Inspire Oncology!

She earned her MBA from New York University, earned her medical degree at George Washington University, completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital, and completed residency training at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, New York.

She is versed in all major modalities of radiation therapy cancer treatment, including intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image guided radiation therapy (IGRT), and stereotactic radiosurgery.

He founded Inspire Oncology to provide world-class, comprehensive, and compassionate cancer care close to home. His research into exercise and nutrition as viable medical treatments is extensive. Inspired by the potential of longer, better lives for his patients.

Dr. Nakfoor’s medical training is unparalleled. He completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, the largest teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, where he served as chief resident. He has spoken at multiple national and international cancer conferences and has published over a dozen peer-reviewed cancer research papers.

Shout out to Michael C. Hanus, MD, board-certified radiation oncologist and biomedical engineer. 👋

He graduated from the University of New Mexico, where he received a Bachelor of Science in electrical/biomedical engineering, and was also a member of the Division I varsity soccer team. He completed his medical studies at the University of Kansas and his radiation oncology residency at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Dr. Hanus is a respected specialist in the treatment of prostate cancer, head and neck cancer, breast cancer, and skin cancer. He has been named Castle-Connolly Top Doctor by Dr. John Connolly himself.
