It’s no secret that being a therapist can be tough sometimes.
Being a therapist means struggling with focus fatigue, never having enough time to mentally prepare between clients or feeling like you did something wrong when a client inexplicably ghosts you.
But it also means getting to support clients on their healing journey, which is incredibly rewarding.
Remember, therapists: you are human too, and you deserve to show yourself the kindness and compassion you show to your clients.

I became a therapist because I wanted to help women like me. Let me rewind real quick:
When I was in my teens and 20s I struggled with never feeling good enough. I felt anxious and uncertain most of the time. I had a general feeling of being unworthy of love and happiness. I used drugs and alcohol to escape these painful feelings and go numb. I found myself in toxic or dead-end relationships. I settled because I didn’t believe I was good enough or that I deserved better. Deep down, I knew something needed to change but I was repeating the same cycle for years.
When I became pregnant and had my daughter in my late 20s, it was a turning point for me. She became my priority and I wanted to be the best I could be. I became a “self-improvement junkie.”
I took self-help courses and seminars. I did cleanses, retreats, and yoga. If it was “transformational” I did it.
But none of this helped me deep down to my core. It was a temporary fix that faded. No matter what I did I just couldn’t get rid of that sense that I wasn’t good enough.
It wasn’t until I discovered a new therapy technique that my whole experience of myself shifted.
I couldn’t believe how effective it was. It was as if a weight was lifted from me. Best of all, I could finally talk about things that had hurt me in the past and not burst into tears. For example, the broken relationship with my biological father and other heartaches.
I can now say I am confidently living my best life because I discovered this powerful technique. I want to help other women who feel like they’re not good enough to ditch the self-help books. I know we can all feel confident and deserving of love.
