A mama’s intuition is powerful ~ and always worth trusting.

This sweet 6 month old came into my office yesterday after a tough morning for both baby and mama. Baby was crying a lot and not normally moving her arm, keeping it close to her body.

Although the walk-in clinic ruled out dislocation and fraction, something still didn’t feel right. Mama followed her gut and brought her in for another set of eyes.

Because birth IS transformational. Not just in body, but in spirit. And when a woman is seen, heard, and respected in that sacred space…the ripple effects last a lifetime.❤️

I had the honor of meeting these two amazing homebirth midwives this morning- Jamie Musich & Sabrina Hennessy- both of whom are mamas themselves and serve Collier, Lee, & Chatlotte*(Sabrina only) counties with deep grace, skill, & reverence for the birthing process. With only a handful of homebirth midwives in our area, this work is vital, and their presence is so needed.🙌🏽

These women are quiet warriors behind the scenes, contending with all of the strict FL laws, protecting physiological birth, championing choice, and holding powerful space for women to rise.

As a perinatal chiropractor, it lights me up to connect with other providers who *get it*. Who know that birth is not simply a medical event or procedure- it’s a sacred, life-expanding experiencing. And how a woman is treated & cared for during her pregnancy & birth shapes everything.🫶🏽

The “Webster Technique” is a specialized pregnancy technique that Dr. Heidi is certified in.

The technique involves assessing the 7 structures of the sacrum/pelvis (the SI joints, the sacrum, the sacrotuberous ligament, piriformis muscle, p***c symphysis joint, round ligaments & psoas muscle) and restoring balance to these structures.

📣It’s official y’all!!!

🌴We are residents of Naples, FL!!!🌴

I didn’t see this coming, but God/the Universe’s plan is better than what I can cook up.💫

Sometimes things that don’t work out the way we envisioned, work out even better!

I’m excited to be in the flow and adventure of this abundant life with my family! I know this was meant to be because it has all happened in a month- from Sieg getting this awesome job & opportunity here to us buying a home- green lights from the Universe all the way!!!

My heart is full of gratitude. I will miss beautiful Franklin and our friends, community, & my awesome practice members. I will miss the back country road drives through hallmark looking fields and by horses & stone walls. My soul felt at home there.

But I trust this next step and delight in the unexpected surprise and face to face proof that everything is always working out.

A lot of people have asked if I will open a new practice here, and the answer is absolutely- yessss!!!!!💯‼️💜🤰🏽🤰🏼🤰🏻💜 I’m going to take a couple of months to get the family settled, help the kids integrate & make friends, do some delicious nesting in our dream home, and to learn the lay of the land. My idea now is probably the beginning of next year, but I’m sure I’ll do some concierge work during the bridge time.❤️
