It makes me sad to say this but there is an interior design store in Crystal Lake IL that is pretty. In fact over the past 2 1/2 years I’ve spent many thousands of dollars there but I’ve come to find that the owner of the store doesn’t stand behind her products or the work of persons they use for upholstery. I spent over 7,000.00 to have cushions made for window seats in my house. The majority of the money was for the fabrics which I purchased from A-Z Interiors. They had me use their man who did the upholstering and made the foam inserts. Well after waiting months and receiving the cushions there were issues with the workmanship. Amy has NEVER stood behind the work or made things right. I have gone into the store and spoken with the owner (Amy) many times to no avail. So I’m posting this reluctantly to let others know to be warned. Certainly go to this beautiful store and buy small accessories but know that you are taking a risk purchasing furniture, doing any upholstery work or draperies with them. If anything goes wrong you could be out a lot of money. The owner of this store is not an interior designer and either just doesn’t get it or doesn’t care about anything but the bottom line and making money but running a business means making the hard decisions to support your customers. On Saturday, these 2 baby squirrels were found on the ground in a shopping plaza together. They are different sizes and ages, so we assume they must have found each other and stayed together for comfort during the hurricane.

The smaller baby had a deep tail laceration and may likely lose a portion of her tail, but other than that, they are in good shape and now in great care!

We have admitted 81 animals since the day after the storm, which is usually what we see in one week. The influx in wildlife has doubled and we are trying our best to save every animal that comes through our doors. Thank you to all the wildlife rescuers in the past couple of days!

In honor of a loved one...Imprisonment in one's own rapidly shrinking brain is how a doctor described it to me.
I wouldn't wish Dementia/Alzheimers on my WORST ENEMY, if I had one... As the patient's brain slowly dies, you know they've changed physically, and the caregivers are often in shock!! Your loved one eventually forgets who you are... Patients eventually, become bedridden, unable to move & unable to eat or drink. There will be people who will scroll on by this message because Dementia/Alzheimers has not touched them. They may not know what it's like to have fought that fight or had a loved one who leads a battle against Dementia/Alzheimers. For all the men & women I know, I ask you a small favor... Only some of you will do it ...
