We live in a quick-fix culture. Everyone wants the one thing that will solve everything - the magic supplement, the perfect diet, the 30-day transformation program.

But here’s the reality: one-time fixes don’t work. Your body didn’t develop dysfunction overnight, and it won’t heal overnight either.

Here’s the truth about 2026 goal-setting: you can set any goal you want, but if your nervous system can’t support it, you’re setting yourself up for frustration.

The goals that actually work? The ones that support nervous system regulation.

Croup is that scary barking cough that often comes with labored breathing, especially at night. While it’s typically caused by viral inflammation of the upper airways, here’s what many parents don’t know: your child’s nervous system controls their entire respiratory function.

The nerves that innervate your lungs, diaphragm, and airways all originate from specific levels of the spine—particularly the cervical (neck) and thoracic (mid-back) regions. If my child had an ear infection, here’s exactly what I’d do first:
👂 Step 1: Get them adjusted
We check the upper neck and ears for any tension that could be blocking circulation and drainage. Misalignments here can literally prevent the ear from draining properly—which means the fluid just sits there creating the perfect breeding ground for infection.
👂 Step 2: Garlic mullein oil in and around the ear
Natural, gentle, and so effective.
👂 Step 3: Red light therapy
Supports the body’s natural healing process and lowers inflammation.
👂 Step 4: Warm compress
Helps with drainage and comfort.
👂 Step 5: Follow-up adjustment the next day

Your baby knows how to eat. But birth can disrupt the delicate structure they need for feeding.

The suck-swallow-breathe pattern requires perfect coordination between:
Cranial bones
The palate (roof of mouth)
Five different cranial nerves
Jaw, tongue, and throat muscles

When birth compresses cranial bones or misaligns the palate, this pattern can’t work properly. That’s when you see:
Latching difficulties
Clicking during feeds
Choking or gasping
Excessive gas and reflux
Poor weight gain

Palate work gently decompresses the bones of the mouth, giving the tongue space to function and create proper suction.
Cranial work releases compression in skull bones, allowing the nerves that control feeding to function without interference.
Both techniques are incredibly gentle (less pressure than checking if fruit is ripe) and work WITH your baby’s body to restore proper structure.
