Dear SlimNow MD patients,
We all need to take very close precautions during this time in order to prevent this nasty disease from spreading.
This has struck home for our family as just overnight, a relative has died in Iran, and a young physician from out of state died taking care of patients. Our only job right now is to stay home and prevent the spread, especially with many of our patients who already have underlying medical issues. Obesity is the culprit of many medical conditions so our team does not want to put our patients’ health in danger.
The COVID-19 Is very contagious and most dangerous to those over 70 and those with underlying medical issues.
In order to help prevent the spread, we are asking all of you to stay home. Please call our office at 239-325-8328 and I will do telemedicine via phone/FaceTime/or WhatsApp. We will do whatever necessary to keep our patients safe and our community safe We will tell you on the phone in regards to your medications. Many of you already have my cell phone number so please text me and I will call you back, or call the main line at 239-325-8328 OR 239-491-6101 and we will assist you.
As always, I am here if any of you have any questions, in regards to symptoms you may have that could warrant further work up, especially for the many of our patients who do not have a primary care physician or health insurance. And remember that many of us will get the virus but the key is to stay away from others so we don’t infect those who are fragile.
And lastly, this is not the time to panic, as long as we stay home and take necessary precautions, we save lives.
The above information pertains to all three offices at Fort Myers, Naples, and Lehigh.
Sincerely,
Parisima Taeb, MD
SlimNow MD Medical Director
