Today is a day full of emotions for the Eastman clan. 1 year ago today, we held Our Mother as she transitioned to Spirit. She was a force to be reckoned with, a real LADY, a brilliant mind, a funny (at times irreverent), beautiful soul. It has been a year of reflection and of healing for me personally. I have been a natural doctor/ a healer for almost 28 years. I have assisted in many (52... 53 in August 😊) births and at least double that in passings/deaths. All of them have been beautiful, spiritual events. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to be present when a new life enters this world and for when God calls someone home. In these precious moments, the veil is lifted... and all is brilliant, sparkly light, the room is filled with angels and guides. In these moments of profound joy and exquisite sadness, I cannot question the presence of God. I am filled from within with a peace, a calm, and a KNOWING about this great mystery of life and death.
It is different though, when you lose a Mother. The feelings are so intense. I have felt LOST and yet somehow freed with my Mother’s passing.
I remember feeling the need to be completely present with my Mom in the last 2 weeks of her life. I reminded myself over and over to be daughter, not doctor. I wanted to DO something... the lesson was that there was nothing to be DONE. All she needed was LOVE.
She wasn’t alone or scared at the moment of her passing. My sister Jennifer and I held the space for her to join her angels and God.
I shall never forget the look on her face when she passed- she was never more at peace than in that moment. She had a little bit of a smirk on her face, as if to say “ haha, I could and did do it on my own.” She was surrounded by family and friends up until her death.
Many are not so blessed.
I MISS YOU, Bubba and am very proud to have had you as my mother, my friend, my wise counsel. Thank you for agreeing to continue to guide my heart, my hands, and my mind in my work and in my life.
Lastly, thank you for continuing to send us undeniable signs that you live on and are settled and happy.
Godspeed on your journey... until we see each other again. ❤️❤️

Got a chance to spend a special birthday w my dear friends, the Carter’s, Lulu and Adam. Recharged, refreshed and FULL in just over 24 hours. Truly, what a difference a day makes. ❤️❤️❤️

the new Facebook rule where they can use your photos. They can be used in court cases in litigation against you. Everything you've ever posted becomes public from today Even messages that have been deleted or the photos not allowed. It costs nothing for a simple copy and paste, better safe than sorry. Channel 13 News talked about the change in Facebook's privacy policy. To all my family, friends, patients and my tribe(you know who you are)
My family lost our Beloved Mother, Barbara S. Eastman late last night.She was a tough Irish woman who sparkled with intelligence, a brilliant wit, and genuine kindness. She could converse with anyone and immediately they became friends. She is so greatly loved and will be deeply missed. I was blessed to be with her until the very end. I am deeply honored, for she brought me into this world, and I was given the gift of helping her leave this earth to watch over us all from Heaven.
It is a time of great sorrow, but also bittersweet. We had many, many laughs. The deeper the love, the deeper the sorrow.
Thank you all for your prayers and support. I will never forget your kindness.
