One of the most common questions I get is "What is the difference between a psychic session and a mediumship session?"

This is an important part of my work and knowing what you want helps me to prepare for the session. While both abilities come from sensitivity to energy, they serve different purposes — one reads the energy around your life, and the other connects with the spirit world to share messages of love, presence, and continuity.

What a meaningful day this was!

This photo was taken during my Certificate Ceremony marking the 2-year completion of Reverend Joseph Shiel’s Advanced Mediumship Mentorship Program.

The ceremony took place on September 22, 2025, at The Journey Within Spiritualists’ Church in Pompton Lakes, NJ — where Joe serves as Pastor.

Joe has been a dear friend and mentor for about 15 years, and it was an honor to stand beside him again — this time as one of about 20 mentees completing this incredible journey together.

For two years, we studied, practiced, and grew — meeting monthly on Zoom and gathering twice a year in New Jersey for in-person, three-day intensives.

Joe spoke about each mentee with such warmth and insight, and we had the opportunity to share our gratitude for him, for the program, and for one another.

This moment was the culmination of deep work, connection, and spiritual growth — a beautiful reminder that the journey of learning and Spirit never truly ends.

One book that has made a difference in my studies is "The Healing Light" by Agnes Sanford.

After many years of studying various healing modalities, reading "The Healing Light" was a deeply impactful experience. The devotional yet simple techniques she outlined resonated with me profoundly. Her constructive, insightful, and powerful approach to spiritual healing offered a clarity I had not encountered before.

The few simple steps she shares are clearly outlined and illustrated with examples throughout the book, making them both accessible and practical. As I began applying these techniques in both my personal life and my professional practice, I witnessed truly transformational experiences in others. This book forever changed not only how I understand and offer spiritual healing, but also contributed to healing and growth in many people’s lives.
