Your neck tension might not be a neck problem.

When mid traps and rhomboids don’t engage well, the upper traps take over — leading to rounded shoulders, tight necks, and irritated shoulders.

This band pull-apart variation keeps the elbows anchored to the ribs to reinforce true external rotation and postural control.

Slow. Controlled. Intentional.

Try 2–3 sets of 10–12 reps and feel the difference.

Your upper back is supposed to rotate in this mobility drill. Your low back is not.

If you’re feeling stiff between your shoulder blades or carrying tension in your neck, try this quadruped thoracic rotation.

🌀 Keep your hips still
🌀 Move from your rib cage
🌀 Breathe slowly
🌀 No forcing the stretch

Mobility + breath = better movement.

Save this and try 5 slow reps each side 🤍

You don’t need to eliminate stress.
You need to train your nervous system to interpret it correctly.

I was at an indoor water park with my girls — laughing, playing, having the best day.

Except… my body thought I was under attack.
Motion sickness. Adrenaline spikes. Tight chest.

So instead of screaming my way down the slide, I did what I teach my clients:

• Nasal inhale
• Slow, controlled exhale
• Exhale longer than inhale

And just like that, my nervous system shifted.

The goal isn’t to avoid stress.
The goal is to master your response.

If the moment doesn’t require fight or flight…
don’t let your body live there.

You can train this. And you should.

Releasing your TMJ isn’t always about the jaw joint itself.

The medial pterygoid lives inside your mouth and plays a major role in clenching, jaw deviation, and chronic TMJ pain.

Pairing intraoral release with diaphragmatic breathing and proper tongue posture helps calm the trigeminal system and reduce guarding.

It may feel tender at first — but with slow breathing, the tissue should soften.
