Flashback to last week when I was a single Mom of three and running a business while Dad was gone for 9 days —
Just because Dad is out of town, doesn’t mean the busy weekend stops 👏🏼
A weekend day may include
- Being up by 6:30am by one of the three kiddos… or 2 dogs
- Morning teeth brushed, hair done, change clothes for kids and mom
- Dogs fed, kids given breakfast
-Vacuum and mop while they eat
- Walk the dogs
- Gym time, snacks for the kids x15 IYKYK
- Softball Game
- Lunch
- Zoo, park, beach… or some crazy activity that I would dare take three kids to by myself
- Showers, change clothes
- Bike ride.. because they cannot possibly be tired 😆
- Dinner ordered in… because I don’t cook on Saturday evenings.
I have to make sure I can get my protein in while keeping up with the littles and activities! I start my day with 16 ounces of water, then pre-gym supplements. I drink 1 gallon of water throughout the day… yes, 128 ounces which AIDS metabolism. 💥
I often am eating snacks on the run or in the car.
- Protein Cereal (Catalina Crunch often with a bit of Purely Elizabeth)
- Protein Shake and Vitamins post workout (a full 30g protein shake plus 1 Tbsp blueberries)
- Lunch - chicken and veggies - came with rice, but I skipped.
- Flock Chicken Crisps for snack while walking the zoo (and lots of water)
- I actually threw in a few walnuts and roasted edamame which wasn’t pictured when we got home before a shower!
- Miso soup, side salad, chicken and veggie stir fry
- Healthy chocolate chip PROTEIN (collagen) “Blondie” .. a tiny piece!
And there you have it — 145g protein which would be considered the low end of my normal day 💪🏼
Don’t let busy get in the way of feeding your metabolism. 🙌🏼
