Even mild scoliosis deserves attention.

A diagnosis of mild scoliosis doesn’t mean it will stay that way. Scoliosis is a progressive condition, and early, proactive treatment can make all the difference.

At ScoliCare, our clinicians perform a full assessment, including posture checks, physical exams, and X-rays, to understand each patient’s unique curve and create a tailored, non-surgical treatment plan.

💙 The best time to treat scoliosis is early, while the curve is small and the spine is more flexible.

Scoliosis Exercises to Avoid: Protecting Your Spine from Pain & Injury 💙

Exercise can play a powerful role in managing scoliosis: improving flexibility, posture, and core strength.
But not every exercise is scoliosis friendly. Some movements can actually strain the spine, increase pain, or worsen the curve.

⚠️ Exercises to approach with caution:
❌ Movements that cause pain or discomfort
❌ Exercises that twist or arch the spine excessively
❌ Activities that overuse one side of the body
❌ High-impact exercises that add compression

Every spine is unique, what’s safe for one person may not be for another.
That’s why individualized guidance from a trained scoliosis clinician is key.

At ScoliCare, we use tailored programs like ScoliBalance® alongside ScoliBrace® to help patients build strength safely, maintain flexibility, and improve posture, without risking injury.

💙 Move smart. Stay balanced. Protect your spine.

Did you know scoliosis can develop in adulthood?

Degenerative scoliosis is a type of adult scoliosis that develops later in life due to age-related changes in the spine. As the spine becomes more unbalanced and unstable, symptoms like pain, posture changes, and reduced mobility can appear, and often get worse over time.

Common signs may include:
✅ Lower back pain
✅ Leaning forward or to one side
✅ Loss of height
✅ Balance or walking difficulties

The good news?
It’s never too late to take action. A proactive approach can help with:

✔️ Pain management
✔️ Better posture & spinal stability
✔️ Lower fall risk
✔️ Improved daily movement & quality of life

At ScoliCare, we combine:

💪 ScoliBalance® physiotherapy scoliosis-specific exercises to improve muscular strength and support
🦴 ScoliBrace® to provide stability and help manage spinal imbalance

Every adult spine is different, and so is every care plan. We’re here to help you understand your options and move with confidence. 💙

🦵 Leg Length Discrepancy: Causes, Effects & Solutions

Did you know even a small difference in leg length can affect your posture, balance, and overall movement?
A leg length discrepancy (LLD) occurs when one leg is shorter than the other, sometimes due to bone structure, injury, or misalignment elsewhere in the body. This imbalance can impact the spine, hips, and gait, leading to discomfort or pain over time.

At ScoliCare, we take a holistic approach to identify the underlying cause (whether structural or functional), using precise X-ray measurements to ensure accurate assessment, and create a treatment plan focused on restoring symmetry, balance, and healthy movement.

Parents know their kids best, and sometimes, you can spot small things others might miss: a shoulder that sits higher, a hip that looks uneven, or a visible curve when they bend forward. 👀

These could be early signs of scoliosis, which affects around 5% of children and teens. The good news? Early detection can make a huge difference, improving treatment success and long-term posture health.

At ScoliCare, we make spine checks simple, gentle, and reassuring, designed with kids (and parents!) in mind, helping families get clarity and confidence about their child’s posture. 🙌

What is MovMnt’s “WHY”...?

LIFE is short and it should be lived, experienced and enjoyed with a happy, healthy and and fully active lifestyle. Well...that’s MovMnt’s opinion on it anyway. The problem is LIFE is also a “full contact sport.” The Human Spine and Nervous System, have an integrated and integral relationship in respect to overall Health, Function and Physiology. The Spine has a “Normal Position” that it should be in or over time or it will break down at accelerated rates not only causing structural weakness, but Pain, Limited Range of Motion and even total failure of the Spine resulting in Bone Problems, Disc Problems, Nerve Compression, Facet Compression and Degenerative Joint Disease. How does this happen you might ask? There are an endless amount of ways this can happen and they are all unique to You such as; birth, falls as a child, the development years with possible congenital spinal/developmental issues, more trauma, bad postural patterns, moving from teen years to young adults, then into our adult to middle age working years and progressing into our later adult years. Each and every one of us has our own individual compilation of stresses over the course of our life put on our individual structural support system called our Spine. For most people when I see them they have been Suffering in Pain for an unnecessarily long time simply because no one has helped them put their own personal puzzle together on WHY they are actually in Pain and and having problems. They have been getting “treated” and not getting “Fixed.” Our relationship begins with an in depth history, examination, functional assessment and x-ray studies being performed first to help assist each patient in a focused investigative effort to determine WHY they have Spinal/Joint/Structural problems. Only after this can we most accurately determine HOW they can Best be helped. Sometimes that is with us, sometimes that is with someone else. Bottomline, we are not here to waste time but to help people Get Results. IF we can help you we move forward with in-depth explanation on exactly WHAT is causing your Problems, WHY this is happening, HOW to Best fix/help the Pain/Problem and keep the Results. From there we design a fully personalized rehabilitation program in office and at home with the Goal being to provide Normal Spinal/Structural/Joint biomechanics to help stop the Pain and Progression of your Problems. This is done predictably and consistently with patients of all ages and conditions. The results can also be sustained through a personalized home rehabilitation system with the Goal of Stabilizing your Results. When this happens for people their LIFE is greatly enhanced by creating a more happy, healthy and active lifestyle that they can Sustain. That is vitally important. Not just a short term help, something that you can add to your lifestyle that pays dividends for Life. So our WHY is to help you make your LIFE all that you want it to be. Shouldn’t your Goals become more than just dreams? We would love to help you, We Are Ready, Are You..? Dr. T.
