✨ Small changes can make a big difference, even in one session.
These photos show subtle but important postural differences that can occur with corrective breathing and positioning as part of scoliosis-specific rehabilitation.

In scoliosis care, breathing isn’t just about airflow, it’s about expanding into the areas of the ribcage that are restricted and helping the body find a more balanced alignment.

💡 You may notice:
✔ improved rib expansion
✔ more symmetrical trunk shape
✔ reduced visible rotation
✔ better postural organization

These changes aren’t necessarily from “breathing on the ball” itself, but from the way corrective breathing can influence the spine and ribcage in real time.

At ScoliCare Naples, we use physiotherapeutic scoliosis-specific exercises (PSSE) and individualized strategies to help patients build control, strength, and long-term stability.

✨ Can Scoliosis Be Fixed?

If you’re a parent, hearing “scoliosis” can feel overwhelming.
Scoliosis is progressive, meaning it can worsen during growth, especially in the teen years. That’s why early detection matters.

When identified early, treatment can focus on:
✔️ Reducing progression
✔️ Improving posture
✔️ Strengthening core support

Because scoliosis is 3-dimensional (the spine curves and rotates), treatment needs to address more than just the sideways curve. At ScoliCare, we take a proactive, non-surgical approach using ScoliBalance® rehab and tailored 3D corrective bracing (ScoliBrace®) to support your child’s spine during growth.

If you’ve noticed uneven shoulders, hips, or posture changes, don’t wait.

📸 Scoliosis progress can be seen from every angle.
When most people think about scoliosis, they picture a curve visible from the back; but true change is often reflected in the body’s overall alignment, not just one view.

These images highlight improvements achieved through a combination of ScoliBalance® exercises and ScoliBrace® correction, showing changes across multiple postural planes:

✅ Side profile (sagittal alignment)
A more upright, balanced posture, with improved head and neck positioning and a stance that aligns more naturally over the toes.
✅ Back view symmetry
Greater expansion through the concave side of the curve, supporting a more even trunk shape.
✅ Forward bend test changes
A visible reduction in trunk rotation, an important indicator of three-dimensional correction.

Scoliosis is never just a sideways curve: it’s a condition that affects posture in 3D, which is why assessment and treatment must be equally comprehensive.

📍At ScoliCare Naples, we focus on individualized, non-surgical strategies designed to support long-term postural control and function.

👉 Kyphosis: Is Your Upper Back Curving More Than Usual?

Kyphosis is the natural curve in the upper spine, but when it becomes too rounded (45°+), it’s called hyperkyphosis.

This can lead to:

✅ rounded shoulders
✅ posture changes
✅ back tightness or pain
✅ fatigue or reduced mobility

There are different causes, from postural habits to structural or age-related changes.

The good news? With early diagnosis and proactive care, treatment may include targeted rehab, posture correction, and in some cases, 3D corrective bracing like the KyphoBrace®.

✨ One of the best ways to manage scoliosis? Catch it early.

Scoliosis often progresses during growth, especially in the teen years, which is why early detection is so important.

When treatment starts early, the spine may be more flexible, making it easier to:
✅ reduce progression
✅ improve posture in 3D
✅ build strength and stability

At ScoliCare, we combine scoliosis-specific rehab (ScoliBalance®) with 3D corrective bracing (ScoliBrace®) to create a plan tailored to each patient.

Mild scoliosis isn’t something to “wait and see”. Proactive care can make a real difference.

Scoliosis is more than just a spinal curve: it’s a progressive condition that can change over time, especially during growth years. When left untreated or unmonitored, scoliosis may lead to:

⚠️ Increasing discomfort
🧍 Postural imbalance or visible changes
💥 Stiffness and fatigue
🚶 Reduced mobility
🫁 In more severe cases, breathing limitations

Some people experience only mild symptoms, while others notice uneven shoulders or hips, ongoing aches, or changes that gradually become harder to ignore.
In children and teens, curves can sometimes worsen quickly during growth spurts, which is why early awareness and assessment are so important.

Daily posture and movement habits can be a great first step…But habits alone don’t always change the underlying spinal pattern. That’s where professional support can make a real difference.

✅ Non-surgical options like ScoliBrace® and ScoliBalance® are designed to:
💙 Support alignment
💪 Improve function and comfort
📉 Reduce the risk of progression
🧩 Provide care tailored to each individual

If you’ve noticed persistent stiffness, asymmetry, or postural changes, an assessment can offer clarity, reassurance, and the right next steps.

Confidence matters, especially during the teenage years.

When posture changes or asymmetry start to appear, it can affect more than the spine. It can impact how a young person feels about their body, their movement, and themselves.
Early scoliosis assessment isn’t about labels or fear. It’s about clarity.

Understanding what’s happening early gives families time, options, and peace of mind, whether that means simple monitoring or a tailored care plan during key growth stages.

With early assessment, many adolescents can continue school, sport, and everyday life feeling supported and confident, knowing their spine is being properly monitored as they grow.

At ScoliCare, our focus is on helping young people stand tall with confidence, supported by careful assessment and care at every stage of growth.

📍 Early answers today can help build confidence for tomorrow. Call us to book an assessment today.

🦵Can scoliosis cause back and leg pain?

In some cases, yes, but not everyone with scoliosis experiences pain.
👉 Scoliosis affects the alignment of the spine. As the spine curves and rotates, it can place uneven pressure on muscles, joints, and nerves. Over time, this may lead to:

• Back pain
• Muscle tension or imbalance
• Postural changes
• Leg pain or nerve-related symptoms

Pain is more common in adults, but children and adolescents can also experience symptoms.

🧑‍⚕️Because scoliosis varies widely from person to person, care should always be designed for each individual, based on age, curve type, posture, movement, and symptoms.

If back or leg pain is unexplained or persistent, a professional assessment can help identify whether scoliosis or spinal imbalance may be contributing.

What is MovMnt’s “WHY”...?

LIFE is short and it should be lived, experienced and enjoyed with a happy, healthy and and fully active lifestyle. Well...that’s MovMnt’s opinion on it anyway. The problem is LIFE is also a “full contact sport.” The Human Spine and Nervous System, have an integrated and integral relationship in respect to overall Health, Function and Physiology. The Spine has a “Normal Position” that it should be in or over time or it will break down at accelerated rates not only causing structural weakness, but Pain, Limited Range of Motion and even total failure of the Spine resulting in Bone Problems, Disc Problems, Nerve Compression, Facet Compression and Degenerative Joint Disease. How does this happen you might ask? There are an endless amount of ways this can happen and they are all unique to You such as; birth, falls as a child, the development years with possible congenital spinal/developmental issues, more trauma, bad postural patterns, moving from teen years to young adults, then into our adult to middle age working years and progressing into our later adult years. Each and every one of us has our own individual compilation of stresses over the course of our life put on our individual structural support system called our Spine. For most people when I see them they have been Suffering in Pain for an unnecessarily long time simply because no one has helped them put their own personal puzzle together on WHY they are actually in Pain and and having problems. They have been getting “treated” and not getting “Fixed.” Our relationship begins with an in depth history, examination, functional assessment and x-ray studies being performed first to help assist each patient in a focused investigative effort to determine WHY they have Spinal/Joint/Structural problems. Only after this can we most accurately determine HOW they can Best be helped. Sometimes that is with us, sometimes that is with someone else. Bottomline, we are not here to waste time but to help people Get Results. IF we can help you we move forward with in-depth explanation on exactly WHAT is causing your Problems, WHY this is happening, HOW to Best fix/help the Pain/Problem and keep the Results. From there we design a fully personalized rehabilitation program in office and at home with the Goal being to provide Normal Spinal/Structural/Joint biomechanics to help stop the Pain and Progression of your Problems. This is done predictably and consistently with patients of all ages and conditions. The results can also be sustained through a personalized home rehabilitation system with the Goal of Stabilizing your Results. When this happens for people their LIFE is greatly enhanced by creating a more happy, healthy and active lifestyle that they can Sustain. That is vitally important. Not just a short term help, something that you can add to your lifestyle that pays dividends for Life. So our WHY is to help you make your LIFE all that you want it to be. Shouldn’t your Goals become more than just dreams? We would love to help you, We Are Ready, Are You..? Dr. T.
