Our “People Behind the Mission” series continues! 💙
Today we’re spotlighting Vanessa, one of our dedicated Public Health Nurses who supports our community in many different ways. Her days are always changing — from working with healthcare providers to strengthen vaccination practices, to giving vaccines in our clinic and at off‑site locations.
Vanessa also assists travelers who need specialized vaccines, serves as the school nurse for our parochial schools, and helps with communicable disease response when needed.
Her role touches many parts of public health, and her flexibility and commitment make a real difference for Henry County.
Thank you, Vanessa, for all the ways you help keep our community healthy! 👏💙

As kids start to develop language skills, it’s important we teach them the words to associate with these emotions. Helping a child build their emotional language gives them a better understanding of how to use words to express how they are feeling instead of using difficult behaviors.
