This Christmas our team adopted the ARC of Assumption’s community of special needs adults. Our staff pulled ornaments from our giving tree with each ornament having the individual’s name and wish list. Today we brought Santa and the Gingerbread man to deliver those gifts and celebrate Christmas with them at their party. It truly is a blessing and an honor to witness the joy this brings. Thank you Assumption ARC for allowing us to share the holiday with your residents and staff! Merry Christmas!

Yesterday we held an active shooter full scale exercise on our campus. This involved multiple agencies along with a large portion of our staff and outside actors. Our emergency response community was extremely well represented. Among those who were instrumental in making such an event possible, were the following agencies. Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office, Assumption Parish Police Jury & OEP, Napoleonville Volunteer Fire Department, Paincourtville Volunteer Fire Department, Acadian Ambulance, Louisiana Emergency Response Network, Louisiana Department of Health/Office of Public Health Region 3. The exercise was very successful. I'll share one of our evaluators, Kathleen Robinson's quotes, "Although Assumption is a small, rural parish, with limited manpower and resources, everyone’s dedication to the care and safety of its members was obvious. Great job!" We'd like to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to everyone who played any part in yesterday's event! We are better together!

Public Service Announcement:
We will be conducting a training exercise here on our campus tomorrow, beginning at 7:30 a.m. until approximately 12:30 p.m. The public can expect to see a large presence of law enforcement and other agencies in our building and in the surrounding area. THIS IS ONLY A TRAINING EXERCISE.

We are collecting food donations during the month of November, along with other campuses in the FMOL Health System to assist with food insecurities. If you would like to donate non-perishable, unexpired food items, there are donation bins at all entrances of the hospital. There is 24-hour access to the Emergency Room entrance.
