Black History Month honors the Civil Rights Movement, which helped expand access to healthcare and inspired the creation of community health centers nationwide. The first federally supported health centers opened in 1965.

At Harbor Care, we continue that legacy at our Health & Wellness Center by providing affordable, integrated care — including primary care, dental services, pharmacy, and substance use recovery — and helping build healthier, more stable communities throughout the Nashua area. We’re proud to announce that this month’s employee spotlight is Chantal Avard, the Pharmacy Manager at Harbor Care Health & Wellness Center. Chantal has served in this role for just over two years, filling a critical leadership role within our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). During her first year, Chantal was instrumental in ensuring that all required pharmacy policies and procedures were established and maintained. This work was accomplished while navigating significant challenges, including staffing shortages, the 340B carve-out of Medicaid MCOs, and the oversight of contract pharmacies.

Chantal quickly rose to these challenges, working closely with a consultant and successfully completing the 340B University certification process. She also reestablished the internal 340B Committee and continues to collaborate closely with the clinic to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.

Throughout her tenure, Chantal has remained proactive amid ongoing regulatory and operational changes, while building a reliable, effective pharmacy team. She is deeply aligned with Harbor Care’s mission and is committed to delivering excellent customer service to our patients. Looking ahead, Chantal is already exploring ways to further enhance pharmacy services for our patients in 2026. She is a pleasure to work with—highly knowledgeable and consistently proactive in staying on top of pharmacy regulations and industry changes.

Chantal, thank you for all that you do for Harbor Care!!

Meet our client Eric, a great guy with a real success story! When Eric returned to New Hampshire, he did so as a U.S. Air Force veteran facing serious health challenges and limited access to care — and looking for stability and the support to rebuild his life. “It took me a while to get all my ducks in a row . . . ,” he said. “And Harbor Care was a huge, gigantic help for that.” Read his full story at https://zurl.co/nVx60
