Grateful for the generosity of our local Elks Lodge members, who donated $1,200 to support the veterans living at our Boulder Point complex in Plymouth.

This contribution helps strengthen the work we do every day—providing safe housing, su***de prevention support, employment assistance, and critical Supportive Services for Veterans. Together, we’re making a meaningful difference in the lives of those who have served. Thank you, Elks!

We're happy to announce that our March employee spotlight is Evan Shneider from our Veterans Services team. Evan joined Harbor Care’s Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program as an Outreach Specialist in December 2020, at a time when serving unhoused veterans required extraordinary commitment and resilience. Conducting outreach during the height of the pandemic, whether in emergency shelters or on the streets, was no small task. Evan rose to the challenge, building meaningful connections with veterans and community providers, while helping coordinate critical services for some of our most vulnerable neighbors.

In addition to his outreach work, Evan has supported case management and healthcare navigation efforts, helping bridge service gaps and ensuring veterans receive high-quality, coordinated care. His ability to adapt and step into multiple roles has made a lasting impact on both clients and colleagues.

Today, Evan continues to excel in his role as Lead Outreach Specialist, consistently connecting with hard-to-reach veterans and ensuring no one falls through the cracks. Known for his reliability and team-first mindset, Evan is always willing to step in, whether that means assisting with intakes, attending client appointments, delivering furniture, conducting apartment inspections, providing transportation, or supporting operations across veteran housing sites.

Evan’s versatility, dedication, and compassion make him an invaluable member of the Harbor Care team. We are grateful for his continued commitment to serving those who have served our country. Evan, thank you for all that you do!!

Ashley and her daughter are just two of the hundreds of clients who seek help for substance use each year at Cynthia Day Family Center, Harbor Care’s residential treatment program for women, including pregnant and parenting women and their children.

Cynthia Day helps women like Ashley reclaim their self-worth, rebuild their lives, and heal alongside their children.

See Ashley’s story — and the impact of Cynthia Day — in our annual report. www.harborcarenh.org/about

Ashley’s struggle with addiction began the same way as so many who have struggled with opioids. After the birth of her son, she was prescribed opioid pain medication following an emergency C-section. What began as medical treatment developed into dependency — a battle she [...]

5,000 lives changed in 2025! Harbor Care helped individuals and families access housing, healthcare, and veteran services — including 642 veterans and their families and 2,331 neighbors in need of affordable healthcare.

Behind every number is a story — a veteran moving into permanent housing, a mother rebuilding her life with her child, someone finding recovery and stability after years of struggle. This is what community support makes possible.

Harbor Care President & CEO Henry Och and Director of Veteran Services Katie Tovar Paciulan were recognized by Governor Kelly Ayotte and the NH Executive Council for their leadership in efforts to end veteran homelessness in Manchester and across NH.

Thank you to the NH State Veterans Council for recommending this recognition!
