Today was a great day at the legislature advocating for our Caregivers and pushing for support for the Caring for Caregivers Act.

This act requires the department of disability and aging to establish and administer a family caregiver grant pilot program to provide grants to family caregiver to offset eligible expenditures incurred by the family caregivers. Limits the grant awarded to $6000 per fiscal year. This is income based.

If you would like to support the Bill HB1443/SB1777 Caring for Caregivers Act, please contact your Representative and Senator and ask for their support.

Even if your loved one has passed, you are still a Caregiver!! We welcome you to this fabulous event!!

We received a BRAND NEW shower chair and bedside commode from the White Family!! Thank you for your generous donation!!👏🏽👏🏽

Please come out and learn how to advocate for your loved one in a nursing facility. Nita Starnes from Adult Protective Services will conduct an informative presentation on how to protect your loved one.💜💜

This meeting is focused on the do and don’ts of nursing facilities. You don’t want to miss this meeting!!

The meeting will be held on January 17th from 11:30-1:30pm at the Bordeaux Library. We will see ya there!!💕
