Dear Mindstream community of eaters! Take a moment to contact your legislators about the coming legislation that would protect pesticide companies from civil lawsuits. Imagine, they already know their products cause harm, but their lobbyists have swayed our representatives into preventing our ability to sue if we get cancer or our farmers get Parkinson’s, or any number of other bad things! What other industry is protected from any future civil litigation in this way? Let’s protect our eaters and farmers. If it should be on our food and on our soil, the companies should be proud to stand by it!

A message from Dr. Amy Neff about Qi Gong with Steve Sommers, LMT, LMFT ✨

Qi Gong is an ancient practice of movement and breath that originated in Asia.  It is a system of wellness, intended to support a person’s overall well-being and balance. Qi Gong has clinical evidence to support it as a treatment for depression and fatigue in patients with chronic illness, including cancer, both in active treatment and after active treatment ends.

Many of you have already met Carolyn Astrup, FNP-BC, a leader in our Pediatrics Department with a calm, grounded presence that helps children settle and gives parents room to breathe. 

Carolyn and our team are hosting a Pediatrics Open House on January 30th from 2:30–5:00 PM, and she wanted to extend a personal invitation.

The afternoon is designed to be easy and welcoming. You’re invited to wander through the clinic, meet the people who will be caring for your child, and hear a brief overview of our pediatric care path. 

Short presentations will be offered at 2:50 PM and 3:45 PM, and you’re welcome to drop in at any point—stay for a talk or simply explore the space and get a feel for the environment your family may soon call home.

Raising kids brings questions, decisions, joys, and uncertainties in equal measure. Our intention is to stand with you in that work as a steady partner who makes room for curiosity, conversation, and the unique needs of your child.

We’d love to see you there!
