This month, we celebrate Black history – honoring the resilience, achievement, and contributions of Black leaders, scientists, clinicians, and changemakers who continue to shape our communities and advance healthcare and innovation.

As we mark a century of Black history commemorations, we honor the past and turn our eyes to the future. In healthcare and clinical research, representation matters. Today we observe National Caregivers Day, and recognize the professional and family caregivers who provide essential care, comfort, and support every day.

Caregivers show up in many forms: nurses, home health aides, and hospice professionals; parents, partners, adult children, and friends. Whether in a clinical setting or at home, their work requires patience, resilience, and extraordinary compassion.

At Profound Research, we see firsthand how deeply connected caregiving is to clinical research. Caregivers support patients through diagnosis, treatment, and recovery, and their advocacy, and participation help advance the therapies of tomorrow. The relationship between those who provide care, those who receive it, and those working to develop new treatments is inseparable.

To caregivers everywhere, we say thank you! Your work matters more than words can express.
