The babies and rubber duckies are coming!

Nashville General Hospital and Meharry Medical Group are celebrating World Prematurity Day on November 17.

Join us, as we kick off a year-long celebration & remembrance of babies born between November 2025 and November 2026.

For every baby born in the hospital between November 2025 and November 2026, we’re adding a rubber duckie to the Busby Garden Pool.

Meharry Medical School of Medicine Departments of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Surgery and Women's Health Research hosted the Second Annual VIPink Brunch on Friday, October 31, 2025 at the Cal Turner Center.

The event united clinicians, survivors, students, families, and community partners for education, prevention, and empowerment around breast cancer.

Meharry Medical School of Medicine and Meharry Medical Group are proud to participate in Black Maternal Health Weekend 2025, hosted at Tennessee State University's Avon Williams Campus.

JOIN US - Friday at the Black Maternal Health Symposium from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Meharry’s own Leslie C. Appiah, M.D., will also take part in a special panel moderated by Tennessee State Senator London Lamar, discussing a powerful documentary by filmmaker Emmai Alaquiva that examines the Black maternal health crisis through the lens of his own family’s tragic loss.

Thank you to the Nashville General Hospital volunteers who visited the Meharry Pediatrics Clinic to stuff backpacks with school supplies ahead of next week’s Back to School Extravaganza!

Between July 28 and August 1, every child who comes to our Albion Street clinic for a physical or immunization will receive a FREE backpack filled with school supplies. Just in time for the new school year!
