Gratitude holds a lot of layers today. This season can bring joy, heaviness, tension, and comfort — and all of it is valid.

As we came together in community, we felt especially grateful for this team, for the healing we get to witness, and for the space we’ve built where people can show up exactly as they are.

Here’s to connection, care, and the work we’re honored to do — today and every day. 🥂✨

Office 2 ✨

A cozy, earth-toned corner of CAG where healing feels a little softer and settling in comes naturally.

Filled with warm woods, plants, and natural textures, this space is designed to help clients feel grounded, connected, and fully held the moment they walk in.

Sarah has created such a nurturing, steady environment here — we’re so lucky to have her warmth rooted in this room. 🌿🤎

Tonight, clinicians from and came together at Middle Tennessee’s Transgender Day of Remembrance & Resilience to honor the lives of transgender people we’ve lost — and to stand alongside the community that continues to resist, rise, and reimagine a safer world.

TDOR is sacred. It asks us to slow down, remember, mourn, and refuse to look away from the violence our trans siblings face. And it also calls us to lift up the brilliance, strength, and futurity of trans people who are very much here — building worlds, shaping culture, loving deeply, and surviving against the odds.

It was our privilege to sit with everyone in attendance… to hold space for grief, resilience, tenderness, anger, celebration, and everything in between.
We were grateful to share resources from Healing in the Margins, an organization working to expand access to affirming, culturally-informed, and identity-rooted mental health care for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities — not just through direct support, but through systems change, provider education, and community-driven programming.

Trans people are essential. Trans identities are beautiful. Trans futures matter — and we will keep showing up, resourcing, advocating, and holding space every step of the way.

🎥 In Session Series — Meet Payton (they/she)

Ever wondered what therapy feels like with Payton?
Think: creative, embodied, identity-affirming, and totally tailored to you.

Payton works with kids (3+), teens, and adults — especially those exploring identity, navigating relationships, processing trauma, or seeking LGBTQ+-affirming support. Their sessions might include play therapy, somatic experiencing, IFS/parts work, EMDR, brainspotting, IMAGO, expressive arts, or whatever blend helps you feel grounded, curious, and supported.

Their approach isn’t “one size fits all.” It’s your story, your pace, your healing path — with a therapist who adapts the work to fit you, not the other way around.

✨ If Payton’s style resonates, feel free to reach out via DM or use the link in our bio to learn more or book a session.

Lunch & Learn days are kind of our favorite. ✨

This month, we gathered around the table with Jeremy Lehman, LMFT, SEP for a deep dive into Somatic Experiencing — exploring how tuning into the body, feeling what’s actually happening inside, and noticing the information it offers can deeply support the work we do in the therapy room.

These Lunch and Learns give our clinicians (and the incredible private practice folks we invite in!) a space to:
✨ learn a new skill
✨ ask real-time questions
✨ strengthen our referral network
✨ build community in a field that can feel isolating

At CAG, we truly believe that good therapy grows from connection — with ourselves, with our bodies, and with each other❕

If you’re a clinician wanting to join our next one, DM us and we’ll save you a seat. 🌿💛

Office 2 — Lacey’s space 🌿

This room has such an easy coziness to it — soft textures, warm lighting, deep teal, and intentional details that make it feel welcoming to settle into.

It’s the kind of space where you can take a breath, unclench your jaw, and just be for a little while.

Healing doesn’t always have to feel intense — sometimes it’s quiet, gentle moments on a comfy couch with a lamp glowing softly in the corner.

Lacey ( )is the resident clinician here — and this is where she holds space for people to process, explore, and show up exactly as they are. ✨

pov: you joined a private practice that actually values connection ✨

the staff table in our office isn’t just furniture — it’s where we land, debrief, eat, laugh, swap ideas, and actually be in community with each other in between clients.

it’s such a small thing…
and such a big part of how we stay human here.

🎥 In Session Series — featuring Sarah + Pre-Baby Counseling 💛

In this video, Sarah shares how she supports expecting parents as they emotionally + relationally prepare for life after baby arrives — not just the logistics, but the inner world shifts too.

Her Pre-Baby Counseling series (7–10 sessions) focuses on helping individuals + couples feel more grounded, connected, supported, and intentional as they enter parenthood — so you don’t just survive the transition, you actually feel held inside it.

Over the next few months, different CAG clinicians will open up about how they do therapy and what it’s like to be in session with them — so you can get a feel for the humans behind the work.

✨ If Sarah’s approach resonates, reach out via DM or use the link in our bio to book a free 15-minute phone consult to see if Pre-Baby Counseling is a good fit for you.

đź’› CAG Community Food Support đź’›
Because no one should have to worry about their next meal.

It’s been a tough time to live in our world lately — everything feels heavier, more expensive, and harder to keep up with. When we learned about the recent SNAP/EBT benefit changes taking effect November 1st, our hearts broke for the clients and families who might be impacted.

Food insecurity shouldn’t be a hidden struggle. At CAG, we believe in caring for our community the same way we encourage our clients to care for themselves — with compassion, dignity, and connection.

Our CAG Food Pantry is open to all clients, families, and community members:
🫶 Take what you need.
🫶 Bring what you can.

If you’d like to give back:
✨ Drop off non-perishable donations in the pantry area at CAG
✨ Or scan the QR code to donate directly to Second Harvest Food Bank (every $1 = 4 meals!)

We know life is a lot right now — and you’re not alone.
If you or someone you know is struggling to make sense of the world or to stay afloat emotionally, please reach out. We have sliding scale and pro bono therapy spaces available to help support people through this season.

🌿 This is a judgment-free, take-what-you-need space.
Together, we take care of each other — one meal, one conversation, and one act of kindness at a time.

Every therapy room tells a story — and Jason’s office is all about grounding, calm, and authenticity. 🌿

The vibe of a therapy space matters more than most people realize. When your nervous system feels safe, your mind can open up, and real work can begin. ✨
