We all need balance to be productive long term without burning out. Over my journey I have painstakingly learned I need just as much rest and restorative action in my life as “work” to be successful at anything. I live a more abundant life now because of this lesson. I’m grateful it didn’t take me a lifetime to learn and that I get the opportunity to help my clients learn this balance and feel more whole, not more worn out. 😌🙏🏻💕

The strongest thing you can do for yourself is believe in yourself. If you don’t know how to do that yet, you’re not alone. Find someone or a community who can believe in you until you are able to do it for yourself. I believe in you and am ready to help you believe in you.

There are so many different ways to see progress from your health and wellness efforts. Just focusing on one or two things like weight or inch loss can rob you of the joy of noticing all the other ways your life is improving. If you aren’t assessing them, you could be missing out on noticing that your balance, energy, sleep, and mobility are all getting better! You might miss out on seeing improvements in your endurance or strength. You could even miss out on the increased confidence and self-love you are experiencing from taking care of yourself. That’s a big missed opportunity in my book. I try to make sure you don’t miss a single bit of your improvement no matter how small. It all adds up to you staying motivated for the long game to better health for the rest of your life. 💕

By trying, we keep growing. I don’t believe there is any failure if you’re trying, no matter what that looks like. If you’re doing something to be healthier and to take better care of your body, soul, and mind, you’re succeeding in my book. Continuing to try takes vulnerability, and to be vulnerable takes great courage. Let’s be courageous together. 💕😊

In my experience your “why am I getting healthy?” needs to be more important to you than your reasons to not continue. Your “why?” needs to trump the totally natural response to quit when it gets difficult and tiring. It needs to be big enough to cause an emotional response in you when you think about quitting your journey to better health. I’m here to help you stay focused on your “why?” 🙂

Just the other day I was talking to a client about what type of motivation is required for lasting results. It has occurred to me over many years in this business, there is a common thread that the clients who stick with healthy living long-term have shared. Most of us are first motivated by some sort of pain, discomfort, or dissatisfaction at the beginning. This type of motivation can get us in the door of being willing to make some changes but it won't be enough to last the long haul. I've learned this motivation is negatively charged. It comes from displeasure or even hatred with yourself, and if you don't love or even like yourself, it's going to be really hard to convince yourself long-term that this healthier way of life is worth the work. The people who I've noticed manage to beat the odds and stick with this new lifestyle are ones that at some point start loving themselves from the inside out. They start speaking positively to themselves instead of negatively. Instead of, "I'm fat and I need to stop being so weak with food!" Their internal voice turns to one of more grace and love like, "I deserve to feel better and enjoy my life more!." This shift is simple but definitely not easy. We live in a world that constantly reinforces our negative self-talk by telling us we aren't good enough as we are. I try my best to help support and encourage my clients to do respectful and loving things for themselves to hopefully change that inner voice to one of support and courage to keep going. Not because they fear stopping, but because they believe deep down they deserve to be healthier and feel better. I encourage this shift for all of you. Love and respect yourself for who you currently are, and you'll be willing and able to do wonderful, difficult things for your own good.🙂

The "right time" is right now. So many times I hear from people that they will make healthier changes when this season is over, that task is completed, or these things slow down. Unfortunately, I have learned over my career as a fitness professional, life doesn't ever take a break. There will likely always be something stressful, a deadline to meet, a task to finish, or some part of LIFE happening to you. I want to teach you how to be healthier amongst the chaos because the likelihood of the chaos stopping so you can only focus on your health is slim to none. I'm offering a real world, healthy lifestyle approach, not one that's contingent on your life suddenly giving you no worries or stresses. If this seems impossible to you, I know how you feel and I want to show you a better way. Give me a call and I'll be happy to share.
