I hate lawns. I’m not shy about it. They are blights to the eye. This cultural norm is stealing beautiful hours from our life, harming our health, Removing habitat for bees- which we need for pollenization, And just plain stupid once you think about it.

Maintaining them in perfect Green at a butch level requires pesticides, herbicides, and burning a whole bunch of gas in inefficient and excessive small particle pollutant producing two cycle engines.

If you want a lawn, get a true human powered, push reel-lawnmower, get a ton of exercise, get some sun, and let biodiversity and variety in what grows be celebrated!

Better yet turn your lawn into a garden! It has huge effect on your gut, micro biome. Lawns are one of our contributors to the epidemic of allergies, asthma and auto immunity. Good data shows that the gut Microbiome changes according to the environment we live in ….and a healthy soil supports a healthy gut Microbiome which supports a healthy immune system.

Inhalational-accelerated Alzheimer’s is real. We can poison ourselves by what we breathe in. The people who live closest to busy city streets have more Alzheimer’s disease. Individuals exposed to water damage buildings suffer tremendous cognitive decline, and brain atrophy the environment.

What We put our body into matters tremendously to our health. So please, grow a garden! Say goodbye to your lawn! Change your health-oppressive HOA regulations. And change your mindset about what beauty looks like. Wildflowers, butterflies, and a home environment that requires very little work to maintain is way more interesting, beautiful, and gives you more time back to enjoy these moments of life we’ve been given. :-)

Their eyes met across a crowded dance floor, causing specialized neurons to begin firing in multiple regions of both brains that are tasked with deriving meaning from a social gaze. … So Romantic!!!!!

A specific set of socially tuned neurons fire across multiple regions across the prefrontal cortex and the amygdala at different times during mutual eye contact. The brain regions are recruited to compute selective aspects of interactive social gaze, suggesting the importance of a more contemplative...

A great reminder of common sense medicine! The Functional med team at the Cleveland clinic showing improved outcomes in comparison to standard primary care!!

JAMA article: Functional Medicine shown superior to standard Primary Care for patient Outcomes! (ya... we knew that, but nice to have published data) PLEASE SHARE!!

In this study, 1595 patients of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine were compared against 4780 similar patients of the Cleveland Clinic Twinsburg Family Health Center for health outcomes over 12 months.

At both 6 and 12 months, functional medicine patients exhibited significantly larger improvements in PROMIS GPH T-score points than were seen in patients treated at a family health center

The PROMIS GPH score is a highly validated multi-variate assessment tool of Quality of Life and health outcomes. This is a remarkable outcome, and should spur MUCH more future study.

To solve our healthcare crisis we do not need to just change how we pay for helathcare - but we need to change the type of healthcare we do. Outcomes are what we are here for!

Kudos to the whole team of providers at MaxWell Clinic and Creating Health for making this possible in Nashville!
