Recently, UMEA Director Rev. Dr. Kent A. Lundy visited UMEA Chaplain Jennifer Weyenberg who is a Staff Chaplain at Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This visit is a reminder that UMEA chaplains serve people at their point of need within the Grace of Jesus Christ.

Recently, Rev. Dr. Kent A. Lundy, hosted a UMEA sponsored dinner in Old Town San Diego, CA for UMEA clergy and spouses. We were honored to have as a special guest, Rev. Luis Garcia--South District Superintendent for the California Pacific Conference of The United Methodist Church and his spouse. The evening was filled with making new connections, strengthening the call of ministry we share and encouragement for the way ahead. What a joy to celebrate in this way!!

Recently UMEA Director, Rev. Dr. Kent A. Lundy visited UMEA endorsed Healthcare chaplain, Doug Steward. He is the Manager of Spiritual Care for Memorial Hospital Belleville (IL). Doug is also the current president of the Association of Professional Chaplains. This visit highlighted our United Methodist understanding of the connection between physical wellbeing and spiritual wellbeing.

Recently, UMEA Chaplain Heidi Kugler--Chaplaincy Service Administrator for the Federal Bureau of Prisons--presented at the National Conference on the Ministry to the Armed Forces. UMEA Director Rev. Dr. Kent A. Lundy caught up with her there to get this picture! This visit hit home the fact that we have some amazing United Methodist endorsed chaplains offering transformational ministry behind bars all over the United States.

Lundy: I began my day in prayer for our military servicemembers, their dependents, and our world with The Right Revd Ann Mckinnon Ritonia--Bishop for the Armed Forces for the Episcopal Church and ended my day praying for the same things with various senior UMEA military chaplains. If you are a current UMEA military chaplain, you will receive an email from me tomorrow AM (Tuesday) inviting you to a TEAMS session with me (it will last no more more 30 minutes--stay as long as you are able) at (all times ET): 0800; 1200; 2000 this Wednesday. All sessions will be identical. They will include prayer, a word from me and time of connecting with each other.
