NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Dr. Casey Bearden of Nashville, TN has been honored with the 2024 James R. Cole Heritage-Lifetime achievement Award by the Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA), the state’s largest professional organization for Chiropractic physicians. Dr. Bearden was chosen by his peers to receive this recognition, given to recognize the recipient’s career-long commitment benefitting their patients, profession and community.
“We are proud to recognize Dr. Bearden for the remarkable contributions he’s made in his over 30 year career,” said TCA Executive Director Tiffany Stevens. “His dedicated involvement and exceptional chiropractic care are building a lasting heritage of excellence elevating both his profession and his community to unprecedented heights.”
Dr. Bearden was pursuing pre-veterinary medicine at Auburn University, when he began to consider a different career inspired by his experiences with the game-changing benefits of chiropractic playing high school football. Having gained a radiology and clinical background while serving in the U.S. Air Force and as an undergrad working in the local emergency room, he eagerly wanted to serve in a field that could offer the public an effective approach to health without drugs or surgery.
Dr. Bearden chose chiropractic and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. After graduating with his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1993, he settled in Tennessee and in January of 1994 opened Action Spine and Joint in west Nashville which stands today as a beacon in the community.
Enhancing his skills, Dr. Bearden has furthered his expertise with a Masters Certification in Spinal Biomechanical Trauma and post-graduate studies under renowned specialists, Dr. Jim Cox and Dr. Art Croft. Dr. Bearden has also written 2 best-selling books on chiropractic sharing guidance that supports a healthy lifestyle.
