LiveBeyond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides maternal and child health and education to vulnerable populations worldwide.

LiveBeyond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides healthcare, education, and nutritional support to vulnerable populations in order to foster the development of sustainable communities. The focus of operations since 2012 has centered on the LiveBeyond base in Thomazeau, Haiti. This base serves as the home for the LiveBeyond mother and child program, the school, Johnny's Kids program, hospital, nutrition program, and agricultural farm. In 2021, LiveBeyond expanded Johnny's Kids operations into the land of Israel to serve individuals with disabilities.

In Gaza, we hosted a Fun Day for 700 children, filled with games, races, and face painting, creating space for laughter and childhood in the midst of hardship. And at the end of the day, each family also received fresh vegetables, so that none would go home hungry.

Happy World Down Syndrome Day!

For us, this day is especially meaningful because the heart behind our special needs program, Johnny’s Kids, was inspired by someone very special, Johnny Stallings, the brother of our CoFounder, Laurie Stallings Vanderpool. Johnny’s life was a powerful reminder that every child is created with incredible value!

Today we celebrate individuals with Down Syndrome and the families who love them!

Every single day in India, across our three clinics, we are serving 150 women and children through our Million Moms campaign. These are mothers receiving compassionate medical care, children being nourished with healthy meals, and families gaining access to life-changing education.
Because of your support, women and children are receiving the help they need to not just survive but thrive. Together, we can make a lasting difference for moms and their children.

While Dr. V and Momma Laurie have safely returned home, our hearts remain with our staff and students in the West Bank.

With border crossings closed and missile strikes nearby, daily life has become increasingly uncertain. For the children, especially those with special needs, these disruptions can be incredibly difficult. Yet our local staff continue to show remarkable courage and compassion, creating safe spaces where these children are loved and cared for.

We ask that you please continue to pray for protection, peace, and strength for our staff, students, and their families during this time.

We are deeply grateful for a community that stands with us in prayer and support as this important work continues.

We are so grateful to share that Dr. V and Momma Laurie have safely returned to Texas from Israel!

Over the past days, many of you have reached out, prayed, and stood with us during an uncertain situation. We are deeply thankful for your faithfulness in lifting them up before the Lord. Your prayers were felt, and we truly believe the Lord answered them in a powerful way.

Throughout this time, we were continually reminded of God's provision and protection. We are praising Him for guiding their journey home and for surrounding them with His peace every step of the way.

Thank you for being such a faithful part of this community. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than we can express. It is a gift to walk in this mission together and to see God's hand at work through His people.

Please continue to pray for our staff, partners, and the communities we serve around the world as they carry on the work of caring for the most vulnerable.

LiveBeyond Israel Update:

Thank you for your continued prayers for the Vanderpools and our team in Israel & The West Bank.

The airport in Tel Aviv remains closed and, as of now, is expected to stay closed for another week. We are monitoring options and the Vanderpools will leave as soon as it becomes possible. They are secure and taking every precaution, but this is an active and unpredictable situation.

At this time, our Johnny's Kids center is closed as there was a direct missile strike in a neighboring town. We continue to carefully watch the situation and seek wisdom for the days ahead.

Please continue to pray for peace in the region, for the Lord to be near to those who are grieving and suffering, and for wisdom and discernment as we seek how best to serve during this time.

We are deeply grateful for your prayers and support!

LiveBeyond family, we are asking for your prayers. Dr. V and Laurie were meant to fly out of Israel today but as they arrived to the airport, Israel and the US formally attacked Iran. The airport was promptly shut down and all flights cancelled. The Vanderpools are scheduled to fly out of Tel Aviv on Monday and are currently back in Jerusalem. We ask that you not only pray for Dr. V and Laurie, but for the peace of Jerusalem, and all who are impacted by this conflict.
