As fall leaves begin to cover the ground and temperatures start to drop, it's time to prepare for the upcoming flu season. We understand the importance of safeguarding the health of your children, which is why we are excited to announce our Flu Vaccine Clinic taking place throughout October!

Why Vaccinate?
Flu can be serious, especially for young children. Getting vaccinated not only protects your child but also helps prevent the spread of flu in our community. It's a small step that makes a huge difference in keeping everyone healthy and safe.

Call us at (615) 988-7810 to schedule a flu shot!

Friday is Pregnancy and Infant loss Remembrance Day. 1 in 4 women experiences pregnancy or infant loss and so to honor your babies and stand with you as a fellow woman and mom our office staff will wear pink and blue on Friday. We also will be lighting a candle to acknowledge your baby for the wave of light. If you would like to share your baby's name with us we would love to be able to say their name and lift up a special intention for your child. You may send us a message through fb or Instagram as these accounts are only monitored by staff or you can call or text the office to share your child's name. If you find yourself struggling at this time please don't hesitate to reach out and I will be happy to listen to your story and help connect you with some wonderful organizations in Nashville that can walk with you through your individual journey.

This past week has felt very heavy with some of struggles and losses that our patient's, families, and staff have been experiencing. Whether you are religious or not I felt like we all could benefit from a moment to pause and pray or hope for peace that surpasses the understanding/circumstances of our individual situations. May you all feel peace today!

Happy birthday Claudia!!! May this year be your best yet. We were so happy to celebrate you today.

September 8th is International Literacy day! Celebrate the day by diving into a favorite book with your favorite kiddo!

Why is reading to kids important?
1. Reading to toddlers sets the foundation for later independent reading.
2. Hearing stories about kids who have challenges and celebrations similar to the ones your child is experiencing helps kids learn how to process life events.
3. Reading to children helps to expand their vocabulary which allows them to more easily express themselves and lends to less frustration.

How much should you read?
1. Reading to children for 30 minutes each day is recommended.
2. Reading with your child in your lap helps them to feel that they have your full attention and creates an opportunity for bonding.
3. Kids like to do things on their own. Encourage your child to participate by turning pages or pointing out things they see. Praise them for their participation.
4. Toddlers also love to look at books on their own. Keeping a basket of books out that they can reach will allow kids to develop a love of books during playtime.
