Go rest and digest outside. It’s absolutely beautiful this evening. Did you know that pausing and activating your senses by listening to Nature Sounds, feel the wind blow on your face. The cool temperatures, pausing to look and identify colors and objects all activates your nervous system, which builds builds your brain map, as well as engage your parasympathetic nervous system to help reduce cortisol. This type of meditation really helps reduce stress and event improve lymphatic flow.

My greenhouse is my Sanctuary. Such a beautiful day to start new seeds and check on progress. Working on growing edible, medicinal flowers and organic food. I have not had a greenhouse before so you guys will be able to follow me on this learned by journey. If you have green thumb advice, please feel free to share. Growing strawberries, red clover, which is an amazing lymphatic mover and is also the flower on my logo so I have to have a lot of that. It’s just a w**d in the yard but to meet it so much more. We have deer so they eat our w**ds, haha. Have you explored your w**ds lately? There are so many that are edible that I’ve never knew before. Only eat them if you’re not spraying pesticides or herbicides, of course.

Enjoying this absolutely gorgeous Sunday afternoon. It fills my heart with appreciation to see new growth blooming, especially in my yard because that means the squirrels did not get my bulbs, haha. Have a blessed rest of your Sunday in the beginning to a wonderful week.

Broken & Beautiful Story

I found peace through Chalk Painting. Discovering the original Annie Sloan Chalk Paint about 9 years ago in Colorado changed our home forever, in many ways. It brought beauty, peace and fulfillment. I was finally able to add nice pieces of furniture and decor to our home through up cycling old quality furniture pieces I would discover at the local Good Will or Salvation Army. My dining room looked amazing. This hobby provided me with a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of motherhood and homeschooling. Soon I was asked to paint pieces for others, which turned into a small business, so fun.

Fast forward to today now living in my husbands beautiful hometown of Franklin, TN my heart longs to use my hobby to benefit the economically vulnerable in Williamson County and surrounding areas. I feel Gods gentle nudge constantly encouraging me to step out of my comfort zone and into the unknown world of a small social enterprise. He wants me to do something bigger than my small world of parenting both an amazing adopted son and biologic son with Type 1 Diabetes. Their strength truly amazes me. I want to teach them God’s truth by actively living out the example Jesus so graciously displayed throughout His life, to Love our Neighbor and to take care of the vulnerable and marginalized. The best way I know how to do this at this season in my life is to paint, have fun searching for antiques and creatively up cycling unique quality vintage finds. So here we are combining my IT husbands awesome skill of woodworking and my interest in decorating, painting and upcycling unique and vintage decor to warm, style and freshen your home.

On this journey of researching how to connect this vision and a product need, we were introduced to making Lazy Susans. So we currently handcraft lazy Susan’s both from pine and beautifully aged Jack Daniel whiskey barrel bottoms and tops, decorative wooden tray’s and wooden centerpiece boxes. Our short-term goal is to sell these beautiful decor items and give proceeds to local empowerment ministries. Our long-term goal is to partner with a ministry to empower youth by employing them so they can directly benefit from learning a fun skill, as well as, earn a fair wage for their hard work and dedication. Please pray with us as we walk this mission to fruition, Lord willing.

Dear children, let us not love with words and speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18
