A night full of connection, celebration, and inspiration ✨
Thank you for the opportunity to share the impact of the THRIVE Grant and for giving the Friends a stage to perform on. It was a beautiful evening honoring the Friends’ meaningful contributions to the arts community!

Lunch Bunch breakfast done right 🍞✨

Thick-cut French toast soaked in a cinnamon-vanilla egg mixture, cooked golden in butter, and topped with a warm homemade peach sauce 🍑

The sauce is simple and so good—sweet peaches simmered with brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and a splash of vanilla until perfectly tender. Spoon it over your toast and you’re set.

Pro tip: let your bread sit out for a bit before dipping—it soaks up all that goodness even better.

March means Breakfast for Lunch in Lunch Bunch! 🧑‍🍳 From fluffy omelets to golden waffles, our chefs are busy planning their menus, practicing smart shopping and budgeting, and building their cooking skills—while having lots of fun every step of the way.

Food Glorious Food brings two missions together to illuminate the important role food plays in nourishment and community building. and artists working in the Friends Life Community art studio shine a light on food as nourishment for the mind, body, and soul.

The artwork blooms vibrantly like a community garden, or an abundant orchard filled with pears and ripe fruit. Kristiana’s pizzas are a celebration with friends and are equally delicious for an ordinary family meal. Pierce’s anthropomorphized vegetables might be evoked by memories, but this cast of characters also tells a story about how we lear from each other. Grant’s kitchen is a place where meals cooked from scratch are anticipated and shared around the dining room table.

Nourishment is a basic need that ties us together and allows each of us to play a role.

Together, The Nashville Food Project and the artists at Friends Life Community demonstrate the power of food to nurture empathy, to build community, and to give everyone a place at the table to belong.

Last week we were able to celebrate the artists and their work at The Nashville Food Project! Their art will be on display for the rest of March - feel free to check it out 🍓
