Members of our Tennessee Oncology team from Lebanon and Mt. Juliet had an amazing Saturday morning out at The Kim Alverson Foundation 5K Color Run Festival in support of cancer caregivers and the loved ones they care for!

In all, the event raised $14,000 for the foundation, and weโ€™re so glad we were able to play a small part in helping contribute to the event.

Tennessee Oncology and Dr. James Gray proudly served as the member hosting partner with The National Association for Proton Therapy and its annual National Proton Conference in Nashville from Thursday to Saturday last week.

The conference featured two days of engaging conversation, featuring multiple speakers from the Tennessee Oncology Proton Center in Franklin - the only proton center in Middle Tennessee. It was also highlighted by Grammy-winning artist Amy Grant accepting an award on behalf of her late father to honor the impact of his work and the patients and community he served, and Olympic gold medalist and cancer survivor Scott Hamilton closed the conference serving as the keynote speaker.

Kameron says, โ€œI was born and raised in Dickson and have lived in Middle Tennessee my entire life. My wife and I happily live in Donelson with our dog and cat, and we enjoy traveling the country to explore national parks and experience as much live music as we can. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Project Management, and will soon be a dual master after completing the program! I have learned more than I ever expected in my role, and despite being an avid seeker of knowledge, my favorite aspect of my job is building and strengthening relationships with everyone I get the privilege to work with. I genuinely view my peers and coworkers as friends and family, and that mindset makes collaboration both meaningful and natural.โ€

Thank you to Kameron for his commitment to advancing patient care. Help us in saying ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ง๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ for all he does! ๐Ÿ’™

Weโ€™re proud to see the story behind Tennessee Oncologyโ€™s new Elliston Place Plaza cancer center featured in Becker's Hospital Review!

Thoughtful design plays a critical role in cancer care - not only for patients, but also for the teams who support them every day. The facility was intentionally designed to strengthen staff well-being, safety, and operational efficiency, while creating a more supportive and healing environment for patients. Bringing together specialty clinics, infusion therapy, imaging, labs, pharmacy, and clinical research under one roof, the center reflects a commitment to innovation in both care delivery and workplace design.

Steve Verner outlines for Becker's Hospital Review how design supports oncology staff and enhances patient care for Tennessee Oncology.
