We are excited to announce that Khalil Ekulona is the emcee for Amplify Nashville 2026! Khalil is best-known as the inaugural host of This Is Nashville, a community-driven show on WPLN that has become a flagship program for Nashville public radio. While Khalil is an accomplished storyteller and gifted speaker, his top aim is to be known simply as a human being. Nothing more, nothing less. His appreciation of what it means to be human - including being connected to one another - makes him the perfect emcee for our night of celebrating the immigrants who help our city flourish.

We hope you will join us and Khalil as we celebrate this year's honorees on April 16 at Marathon Music Works! Tickets are on sale at https://siloamhealth.org/amplify-nashville-2026/

Gregg Ramos, a second-generation American, is an influential attorney who champions immigrant communities in Nashville and was instrumental in defeating the English Only referendum in 2009 through his efforts with Nashville for All of Us.

In 2008, an English Only referendum was proposed in Metro Council that would have created significant barriers for immigrant communities by impeding access to vital services, and it would have hindered Nashville’s growth as a city overall.

As a Latino, Gregg had experienced discrimination when he first moved to Nashville. He also remembered how difficult it was for his grandparents and parents to learn the English language. So, Gregg decided to spend his relational capital in the business community to fight against the English Only referendum.

Gregg, along with many others, formed a remarkably broad coalition, Nashville for All of Us, which included business leaders, public servants, faith leaders, and labor unions. They defeated the referendum, and Nashville was able to solidify its identity as a city that welcomes and celebrates immigrants from all over the world.

Gregg Ramos is a community leader whose service helped defeat the English Only referendum and ensure Nashville’s identity as a welcoming city, making him the Bridge Builder honoree at Amplify Nashville 2026.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate Gregg and all of this year's honorees April 16 at Marathon Music Works! Tickets are available at https://siloamhealth.org/amplify-nashville-2026/

Zulfat Suara is a CPA, an at-large member of the Nashville Metro Council, and an advocate who has achieved historic milestones while ensuring marginalized Nashvillians have access to health care, education, and housing.

In 2019, Zulfat made history by becoming the first Nigerian-born woman elected to any office in the US and the first immigrant to be elected as an at-large member of the Metro Council.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Zulfat and her colleagues urged the health department to partner with houses of worship across the city for vaccination clinics, ensuring that those on the margins had access to vaccines in their own neighborhoods. She has also collaborated with the Nashville Hispanic Bar Association to provide funding for legal services to immigrants facing eviction.

As an inspiring leader who believes that lifting up the marginalized strengthens the whole city, Zulfat Suara is committed to the well-being of all Nashvillians, making her the Good Neighbor honoree at Amplify Nashville 2026.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate Zulfat and all of this year's honorees April 16 at Marathon Music Works! Tickets are available at https://siloamhealth.org/amplify-nashville-2026/

“In a city as diverse as ours, it’s important that everyone, no matter their background or circumstances, is treated with dignity and respect,” says Stephen Robertson, Clinic Support volunteer.

And as Stephen has gotten to know Siloam's patients, he’s been inspired by their resilience. “Many have faced significant challenges, yet they arrive with hope and a desire to heal.”

Thank you for serving with us, Stephen!
