Grateful to have been a part of an incredibly meaningful event with the YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee last month at their annual Pamper Night for residents of the Weaver Domestic Violence Shelter.

This event is dedicated to offering care, dignity, and restoration to women who have experienced domestic violence— providing a moment to be supported, resourced, and reminded of their inherent worth.

It was an honor to contribute sound healing as one of the offerings alongside so many others who showed up in service. The YWCA’s commitment to safety, empowerment, and rebuilding lives is truly life-changing. Their work ensures that survivors not only find refuge, but also access tools to reclaim their voice, autonomy, and future.

To the staff, volunteers, community partners, and especially the women who attended— thank you for your courage, presence, and trust. The strength in that room was palpable, and the mission behind it is powerful:
every woman deserves safety, dignity, and hope.

Here’s to continuing the work of building communities where all people are free from violence and supported on their path forward.

But true strength lies in the softening.
In choosing to feel.
To soften.
