Brandy didn’t fully understand addiction until it nearly cost her everything. After a life‑threatening overdose, she made a choice to fight for her life, and that’s when she connected with Wayspring.

With Sara by her side, Brandy found steady support, trust, and someone who saw all of her.

“She actually cares about me as a person.”

Today, Brandy works full‑time, drives her own car, and is on the Dean’s List studying social work so she can help others find their way, too.

Brandy’s story shows what’s possible when no one has to recover alone.

We’re proud of Cindy Raymond and grateful to NewsChannel 5 Nashville for helping share her story.

At Wayspring, our Second Chance Scholarship program reflects a simple belief: people deserve support, dignity, and the chance to move forward.

Cindy Raymond is among the first recipients of Wayspring’s Second Chance Scholarship, which helps employees pay legal costs to seal or expunge past criminal records. Wayspring’s chief HR officer said, “If we had said no to her because of something that happened 15 years ago, our company would not be as great of a company.”

Provider Spotlight: Lucy Gentry, LCSW, at The Ridge Behavioral Health System

Lucy shared that the collaboration between Wayspring and The Ridge helps address the real‑world barriers that often make it hard for patients to stay engaged in treatment, such as transportation, distance, insurance complexity, and limited support systems. She told us our partnership “makes everything feel streamlined, helpful, and supportive,” giving patients the best chance at success in their recovery journey.

In our latest blog, All Together Recovery's Executive Director, Nick Rhodus, shares how his team is tackling early discharges by anticipating the key “exit ramps” in a patient’s recovery journey, fostering a transparent and supportive culture, and anchoring patients with long‑term goals.

Wayspring’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael Frost, also weighs in on how small, strategic adjustments can meaningfully reduce unexpected discharges — often without additional staff or financial investment.

These insights highlight what’s possible when providers pair evidence‑based approaches with patient‑centered care.

A Clear, Connected Path

Connecting the substance use treatment and recovery ecosystem with an end-to-end platform that delivers personalized solutions—from risk to recovery.

Patients have difficulty navigating the fractured treatment ecosystem and often receive ineffective treatment or go untreated altogether. Providers are looking for new partners and a clinical support system to effectively manage the care and overall well-being of their patients. Health plans continue to invest in treatment that doesn’t work. Saddled with enormous healthcare costs of the opioid overdose epidemic, they are looking for more comprehensive solutions.

Leveraging a high-tech and high-touch approach, axialHealthcare’s risk-to-recovery platform addresses treatment gaps across the spectrum of substance use by connecting ecosystem stakeholders at every stage. Our comprehensive solution identifies patients at risk, prevents escalation in their condition, and supports appropriate treatment enrollment and adherence.
