I’m so excited to have my schedule open for walk & talk therapy sessions again! It has been a little while since I offered this service & it’s something I enjoy so much. I know, especially as a new mom, how nice it is to check off several birds with one stone— & getting your therapy support while moving your body and soaking up nature is one of the loveliest ways to do just that. Plus, I offer these slots super early so we can beat the heat ☀️ Check my client portal at the link in bio to snag your spot!

People often ask me what I think about EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy— and I love it! I have experienced it as a client and a clinician; I am trained in EMDR, and have used it with clients for several years now. I’ve witnessed my clients use EMDR to heal and experience profound change. It is one of my favorite tools in my toolbox, and I love how versatile it is. EMDR helps your body reprocess how memory/trauma is stored in your body & can be accessed by stimulating any of your senses, and in-person, I like to have us get comfortable and use the vibrating tactile stimulators that we call buzzies pictured above.
EMDR is traditionally and commonly used for acute traumatic experiences and PTSD symptoms. It is very helpful in reducing distressing symptoms like intrusive thoughts, anxiety, flashbacks, etc.
I love using EMDR as a way to work on our attachment traumas and wounds: our internalized narratives of worth, especially in relationships.

Providers who care & take their time are worth their weight in gold. I love to pass along my personal recommendations. Thank you to .living.movement for recommending .pelvic.yogi to me! Dr. Bailey has been empowering & healing - physically and emotionally.
As a mental health therapist who works with a lot of women, I mean it when I say I’d recommend going to pelvic PT over therapy. At least once. You deserve it. A consultation / intake can even go a long way, whether or not you have or will give birth. Dr. Bailey also hosts the Nashville Women’s Health Podcast, check it out!
If you’re in Arizona I recommend and in North Carolina .pelvicpt
