Happy Cinco de MEOW!
May is for tacos… and cats.
To celebrate our fabulous feline patients, we’re offering 10% off all feline wellness visits and preventative services during the month of May.

Spring is a great time to check in on your cat’s health, update vaccines if needed, and stay ahead of dental disease, weight changes, and subtle signs that cats are so good at hiding.

Fun fact: “taco cat” spelled backwards is taco cat. We don’t know what that means medically, but we do know preventive care matters.

Schedule your cat’s wellness exam in May, save 10%, and maybe even have a little extra left over for tacos.

Call us or message through the app to get your feline friend on the schedule. We can’t wait to celebrate Cinco de Meowo with you.

If your dog is diagnosed with hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s disease) and prescribed medication therapy, your veterinarian will recommend routine cortisol monitoring to ensure they receive the appropriate dose.

Your veterinarian will recommend monitoring begin 10-14 days after starting medication. Depending on the results, they will make any necessary adjustments to your dog’s medication dosage and recommend a timeline for periodic monitoring.

If your veterinarian suspects your dog may have hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s disease), they may recommend blood testing to diagnose the disease.

There are three main tests used to screen for Cushing’s:
• Urine cortisol: creatinine ratio
• Low dose dexamethasone suppression test
• ACTH stimulation test

Your veterinarian may use additional diagnostic methods to determine whether your dog has pituitary or adrenal-dependent Cushing’s disease.

Canine hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing’s disease) can be caused by pituitary tumors (85% of cases) or adrenal tumors (15% of cases).¹ Both lead to an excess of cortisol, causing clinical disease.

If your dog is diagnosed with Cushing’s, your veterinarian should determine whether it is a pituitary or adrenal-dependent disease to help guide treatment recommendations.
