Many parents notice that their baby becomes upset almost immediately after being placed in the car seat - even if they were calm just moments before! 🥺

While some babies simply prefer being held or moving freely, persistent discomfort in certain positions can sometimes point to tension within the body.

A baby’s spine and nervous system are still developing, and even small areas of dysfunction can make certain positions feel uncomfortable. Being reclined and strapped into a car seat can sometimes highlight that tension.

Babies may exhibit things like:

• crying shortly after being placed in the car seat
• arching their back when buckled in
• settling quickly once they’re picked up
• preferring to be held upright rather than reclined

Chiropractic care for babies uses extremely gentle techniques to help reduce tension and support healthy nervous system function. 🤍

When the spine and nervous system are moving well, many babies are able to settle more comfortably in everyday positions - including the car seat! 🚗

Heel pain is often quickly labeled as plantar fasciitis, especially if it’s worse first thing in the morning or after long periods of standing. 🦶🏼 And while inflammation of the plantar fascia can absolutely cause discomfort, it’s not always the only factor involved. 🤔

The nerves that travel down your leg and into your foot actually originate in the lower spine. When there is tension, irritation, or dysfunction in the lumbar spine, it can influence how those nerves communicate with the muscles and tissues of the foot.

This is one of the reasons some people experience:

• heel pain that keeps coming back
• tightness in the calf or Achilles
• burning, tingling, or discomfort in the foot
• pain that travels up the leg

In these cases, the issue may not be coming from the foot alone - it can also involve how the spine and nervous system are functioning.

Chiropractic care helps by improving movement in the spine, reducing nerve irritation, and supporting better communication between the brain and body. 💫

When the nervous system is functioning well, the muscles and tissues of the foot can move, recover, and adapt more efficiently!

If you’ve been dealing with stubborn heel pain, it may be worth looking beyond the foot and considering the bigger picture. 👟

The nervous system is constantly working behind the scenes to help your body adapt to the world around you! 💪🏻 One of the ways it does this most efficiently is through patterns and predictability.

When the body knows what to expect, it can regulate energy, stress responses, and recovery much more smoothly. 🙂 But when routines are constantly shifting, the nervous system has to work harder to keep everything balanced.

Small daily rhythms can make a bigger difference than many people realize.

Things like:

🌅 Sleep timing – going to bed and waking up at similar times helps regulate the body’s internal clock and supports deeper, more restorative sleep.

🚶 Regular movement – consistent physical activity provides important sensory input that helps the nervous system organize and regulate.

🥗 Meal patterns – eating at predictable times helps the body maintain steady energy and metabolic balance.

🧠 Daily routines – simple rhythms throughout the day help the brain anticipate what’s coming next and reduce unnecessary stress on the nervous system.

💛 Moments of rest – regular opportunities to slow down allow the nervous system to shift into recovery and regulation.

Chiropractic care supports this process by helping the nervous system stay organized and responsive, allowing your body to adapt to daily rhythms more efficiently.

The most powerful support for your health often comes from the simple rhythms that help your body feel grounded and predictable from day to day. ✨

Few things are more unsettling than suddenly feeling dizzy or off balance. 😵‍💫 Vertigo can come on quickly and make even simple movements - standing up, turning your head, or walking across the room - feel uncomfortable or disorienting.

Most people associate vertigo strictly with the inner ear, but your sense of balance actually depends on several systems working together.

Your brain constantly receives information from:

• the inner ear, which detects motion and head position
• the eyes, which help orient your body in space
• the spine and nervous system, which send signals about posture and movement

All of these signals travel to the brain so it can interpret where your body is and how it should adjust to stay balanced. ⚖️ When that communication becomes disrupted, the brain can receive mixed messages - which may contribute to sensations like spinning, dizziness, or feeling unsteady.

Several things can influence this process, including:

• tension or restricted movement in the upper neck
• past head or neck injuries
• changes in inner ear function
• stress on the nervous system affecting coordination and balance

The upper cervical spine plays an especially important role because it contains a high concentration of nerve pathways and sensory receptors that help the brain track head position and movement. 🧠

Chiropractic care focuses on restoring healthy motion in the spine and supporting clear communication within the nervous system. When the body’s balance systems are able to communicate more effectively, many people notice improvements in stability, coordination, and overall comfort.

When everything is working together the way it’s designed to, the body does a remarkable job keeping you steady and grounded. 🙏🏻

Most people don’t realize how much time their body is spending in fight-or-flight…instead of rest-and-digest. 👀

Moving through busy days, handling stress, and constantly staying “on” can start to feel normal - but your nervous system is still keeping up with all of it behind the scenes. 🥴

Over time, that can make it harder for the body to fully shift into the state where rest, recovery, and regulation happen.

Swipe through to learn how these two sides of the nervous system work - and how spending more time in one over the other can impact how you feel day to day. ❤️

When most women start thinking about their birth plan, they’re often focusing on things like where they want to deliver, who they want in the room, and what kind of environment will help them feel calm and supported. 🤰🏻

Those things matter so much! 🤍

But another important piece of preparing for birth is how well your body is able to move, adapt, and work together during the process itself.

Throughout pregnancy, your body is changing constantly. Your pelvis is shifting, your ligaments are softening, and your spine is adapting to support your growing baby. The nervous system is coordinating all of those changes along the way. 💪🏻

Chiropractic care during pregnancy focuses on helping the spine, pelvis, and nervous system stay balanced and functioning well as your body prepares for birth.

Many pregnant women seek chiropractic care to help support things like:

• maintaining balance and mobility in the pelvis
• reducing tension in the lower back, hips, and round ligaments
• improving comfort as the baby grows and posture changes
• supporting better sleep and overall nervous system regulation

There is also research suggesting that women who receive chiropractic care during pregnancy may experience shorter labors and fewer medical interventions during birth. 👏🏻

Every pregnancy and birth story is unique, but helping the body stay balanced, adaptable, and supported can be an incredibly meaningful part of preparing for the big day! 🫶🏼

With warmer weather arriving, many families are spending more time outside - walking barefoot in the grass, playing in the yard, or soaking up some sunshine after months spent indoors. ☀️

That simple act of being in direct contact with the earth is often called earthing or grounding, and it can have a positive influence on the nervous system. 🌎

Our bodies process a constant stream of stimulation from modern life - screens, schedules, noise, and stress. When your skin makes direct contact with the earth, your body may absorb small amounts of the Earth’s natural electrical charge. ⚡️ Emerging research suggests this connection can support nervous system regulation and help the body move into a more restorative state.

Benefits of connecting with the earth include:

• improved mood and reduced stress
• better sleep
• clearer focus
• less tension in the body

While earthing is a simple daily habit, it pairs beautifully with chiropractic care. 💕 Chiropractic adjustments help improve how the nervous system functions, allowing the body to regulate and adapt more efficiently.

Sometimes the most powerful wellness habits are also the simplest - stepping outside, slowing down, and reconnecting with nature. 🌳

04/21/2026

If your child seems to move constantly in their sleep - kicking blankets off, changing positions all night, or waking up tangled in the sheets - you’re definitely not the only parent noticing it. 🥴

Sleep is actually a very active process for the nervous system. Throughout the night, the brain is regulating breathing, heart rate, muscle tone, and recovery from the day. 🌙

When the nervous system is having a harder time settling into deeper stages of rest, kids may appear restless during the night. Instead of staying in a calm, restorative sleep cycle, their body may keep shifting and adjusting.

It may show up as:

• frequent tossing and turning
• kicking or moving constantly during sleep
• waking up in a completely different position
• blankets always pushed off the bed
• seeming tired even after a full night in bed

A well-regulated nervous system helps the body transition smoothly into deeper, more restorative sleep cycles! 🔄

Chiropractic care helps enhance brain/body communication! When the nervous system is functioning well, many children start experiencing more restful sleep, night after night. 💤

Healthy sleep is one of the most important foundations for growth, development, learning, and emotional regulation - and it often starts with a well-supported nervous system! ✨
