Our Director of Community Engagement, Hope Aldred, recently had the privilege of attending the 8th Annual Emerald Gala in Charlotte alongside Elizabeth Fikes of Stonewater Adolescent Recovery.

This year’s event raised more than $375,000 to support tuition assistance and recovery focused education for teens in the Charlotte community. It was a beautiful evening filled with inspiring stories from students, alumni, and founder Mary Ferreri, all centered around giving young people the opportunity to heal and succeed.

Grateful to have been part of such a meaningful night.

As part of Red Ribbon Week 2025, Travis Weisbrod, Director of the Wellness Program at St. Christopher’s and Magnolia Belle, joined Northwestern State University to present “The Truth About Addiction: Myths, Facts, and Hope.”

Drawing from both professional expertise and personal experience, Travis shared an honest look at addiction, including how it affects the brain, shapes behavior, and influences relationships. He also discussed how wellness practices such as exercise can strengthen long-term recovery and help prevent relapse.

We are honored to work alongside educators and students who are promoting awareness, compassion, and a shared commitment to a drug-free community.
